Started it early because I'm bored. please log in to view this image V please log in to view this image Early team news: Saints: Lee Barnard & Radhi Jaidi are edging ever closer to returning to the squad, the latter especially now Dan Seaborne has presumably been ruled out for quite some time. Jos Hooiveld is expected to start alongside Jose Fonte and Steve De Ridder is pushing for a first league start. Forest: Forest boss Steve McClaren has expressed his desire for his team to play passing Football, starting in Saturday's trip to St Marys. Midfielder Guy Moussi will return to the squad after recovering from injury in late August, with Forest's fans demanding a change in central midfield - away from the 'slow' Jonathan Greening and George Boateng. Form(last result first): Saints: LWWWW Forest: LDWLD Predicted Saints team: ------------------------------------Davis------------------------------------------ ---Richardson--------------Fonte------------Hooiveld--------------------Harding--- ----Guly------------------Hammond---------Cork-----------------------Lallana----- ----------------------------Lambert--------Connolly------------------------------- Subs: Bart, Martin, Fox, Schneiderlin, De Ridder. Prediction: 3-1 win(Lambert x2 & Hooiveld).
I can't wait. I missed the Millwall game for holidays and it seems ages since the Leeds game. I'm also driving down with a couple of Forest fans for a bit of added spice! COYR!
I hope it's the forest of recent weeks,i.e shipping goals all over the place,if it is i'll go for 2 - 0 saints.
Seaborne was favoured over Martin by Adkins. We'll have to wait and see if Jos also gets nod over Martin. May be a bit early yet to blood Jos unless he's been magic in training sessions. Chance for either to grab that berth.
3-1 saints Lambert,Lallana and connolly. Mcclaren to have a mental break down and speak in fluent dutch for the post match interview.
I agree 3-1, but with Lambert and Connolly, and Schneiderlin to come on and score late on with an awesome strike. It's about time we had another one! I reckon Martin'll start and Jos will come on for the last 15-20 minutes.
I've lost count how many games someone's predicted Spiderman to score! I think the one time nobody thought he'd do it was away to Brizzle Rovers when he actually did haha
Saying on OS that Seaborne making slow but steady progress and will be out in a few more days. Good news but shows his injury was a bad one. My son had severe headaches for weeks after a fractured skull, so sure Dan will need to take it slow.
I really think it is about time Schneiderlin was given a start. He has been flawless every time he's been called upon, it is difficult to fit everybody in I admit but I wouldn't drop Cork or Hammond. Play 4-3-3 with Lambert the spear-head, Lallana and Guly either side and a three man midfield of Cork, Morgan and Hammond. Connolly can still do a job from the bench, have him there with Bart, Danny Fox, Chaplow and De Ridder. I think Do Prado would benefit from given a more direct attacking role. Also I would start Martin as I don't think he has done a lot wrong and I actually thought he played great against Leeds, despite giving away a soft penalty.
We'll let you tell Connolly that his "goal a game" start to season (well almost) means he is dropped! Morgan will play a huge part this season, but we've only played 5 out of 46 games.
