St Marys Sunday 28th December 2014 KO: 14:05pm Going to be a difficult game if the GOOD Southampton show up. Hopefully the Southampton that lost 5 on the bounce show up instead. My gut tells me this one will be a draw. 1-1 Ivanovic to score for Chelsea.

I haven't quite reached that level of optimism yet. I am an old cynic. Hope we do thrash them though...everyone was saying our Christmas/New year fixtures were hardest and we may struggle, would be good to give those people the finger and still be top when the ball drops.
Mikel starts and we are in trouble again 1-0 Saints. Mane was dog s#!t alright against manure, city & goons. He goes and does that against us.
Blimey Southampton were fantastic at the back, couldn't break through them around the area. Think we should've had the pen for that foul on Cesc, can't believe he was booked for simulation.
would have taken a point after going 1 down. But having had the chances, we should have had all 3 pts and few goals as well. oh well.
Other chelsea players diving in recent weeks probably hasn't helped his cause. Good game, although Southampton had a free kick in the 92nd minute around the box and played it into the corner... You dominated that 2nd half and should have won really.
Burnley have pulled it back from 2-0 against City!! Hopefully they can hang on or even get a winner!!
they could've easily pushed on to get a winner. After their performance against pool 2 days ago, what a show today. Hope Ginger Mo keeps Burnley in the PL. Burnley are a credit to this league. without Yaya and Vinny City will find it difficult over the next few matches. We need to consolidate. It is funny how - people project us dropping points at City, Manures & Saints. Losing at Barcode etc.
You get a sense of what games will be winners and which ones we will drop points in. Odd thing about City is that in the games where they have dropped points, they looked like bankers for them. Stoke at the Etihad, Burnley at the Etihad, both games that they were expected to win. They have some tough grounds to visit in the second half too, where as we dont really. So I am glad we got through the first half of the season with a 3 point lead
What chances? Chelsea dominated the second half but Saints defended well and really limited your shots tally. Delighted with a point especially as we were hanging on at the end. Usually the quality on your bench is what wins it.
Gotta agree though, excellent defensive performance from Soton. Hope they do well for the rest of the season (except at the Bridge ) and take some points off City, Arsenal etc
I have to say and with no disrespect to Soton I thought we in present form would beat them without too much effort but in fact we were 2nd best in the 1st 40 minutes. 2nd half was an onslaught and I think we should have won but pass selection seemed all over the place.
