You can only make ONE transfer this time and you must keep to the £100m limit and you must have 2 keepers, 5 defenders, 5 midfielders and 3 forwards, with a maximum of 3 players from each club. The deadline is midnight on Tuesday 17th of November. I have decided to reduce the number of transfers because nobody has any long term injuries and I want to avoid everyone ending up with very similar squads.
Not a big fan of the rule change SA given that it's 4 down to 1 at no notice at all. For example, my transfers last time around specifically targeted what was best for that next month, but if I'd known I had to pretty much stick for the season id be chosen very differently. Just think rules for stuff like this are better agreed at the start and then stuck to. Given the rules of 1 per week in the real FPL game, 3/4 per month was always going to be reasonable. Who knows what number will be chosen next month?
One transfer, bearing in mind it has to be the same position in as out also stops a lot of (if not all) teams from picking up say Aguero as they can't get rid of a forward close to that value to balance the books.
Firstly - This is only a game! for fun! and if it needs tweaking it needs tweaking I completely agree with SA - if you can change 4 players every month, everyone is going to pick the 4 form players from the last month and we'll all end up with the same midfield / strikers and we'll all draw! 1 change per month is fine. If half your / my team ends up injured so be it! If I'd run this game (but thankfully SA did) you'd only have had a January transfer market! cheers SA!
Respect both your opinion SiS and also the effort that SA has put into arranging this, but will have to agree to disagree. I know it's only 'fun' but it's also got a league table and rules for a reason. If it was 'fun' only, we'd have weekly matches or a weekly winner but no league table imho. Two transfers for example would at least allow people to 'downgrade' in one position in order to 'upgrade' in another.
For the Meanderers: Martial out, Aguero in. I haven't worked out the values but I think I'm still under the £100m. Cheers SA.
I get where you are coming from LD, but i'm mindful that the game can easily get ruined by everyone selecting the same four transfers as I found out when I made my transfers. This is different to the official game because it is head to head. On balance, to keep things interesting and competitive I have decided to reduce transfers to one only as even with two you will be seeing the same form players selected. As for upgrading, everyone will just have to be creative and plan ahead to get the players that they want and it must be remembered that the rules are the same for everybody. I plan to make it two transfers in February after the real transfer window and then return to one transfer in March until the end of the season. PS, your current squad isn't doing too badly!....
Not me. I had a feeling something like this would happen. So: Butland Cedric Kompany Williams Alderweireld Mahrez Mane Sanchez Silva Ighalo Pelle Subs McCarthy Hangeland Coquelin Aguero (in) Sturridge (out) £99.4m I think?
Out: Hooper (4.4) In: Ighalo (5.0) GK: Hart (5.6)/Speroni (4.5) Def: Azpilicueta (6.0)/Bellerin (5.5)/Cedric (5.0)/Alderweireld (5.0)/Targett (4.0) Mid: Hazard (11.4)/Sanchez (11.0)/De Bruyne (10.0)/Mane (7.8)/Anya (4.5) Str: Lukaku (8.2)/Vardy (6.0)/Ighalo (5.0) Squad Value = 99.5m
GKs Hart 5.6 Butland 4.5 Defenders Cedric 5.0 Kolarov 5.8 Ward 4.5 Azpilicueta 6.0 Alderweireld 5.0 Midfield Mane 7.8 De Bruyne 10.0 Sanchez 11.0 Out Cork 4.9 - In Ozil 8.5 Benteleb 4.4 Forwards Lukaku 8.2 Pelle 8.0 Sakho 6.5 Total = £99.8m
Jeezo! How did you manage to squeeze all of those bad boys in there! Aguero, Pelle, Silva, Sanchez and Mane in the same team! Looks like £150M from here! Fair play to you sir.
