Assistants: Lee Betts, Ian Hussin. Fourth official: Dean Whitestone. VAR: Michael Salisbury. Assistant VAR: Scott Ledger. Keeping it simple, Nathan has got one of his relatives to Referee! Looks like we will be without Livramento, Larios and Theo, Lavia is being assessed. Brighton will be without Alexis Mac Allister who is still celebrating in Argentina. Webster and Wellbeck being assessed. Can I wish a Happy Christmas to all of my readers and every Saints fan on the planet!
3-1 Brighton for this. Can't see NJ turning it around to be honest. Not unless we spend £80m or so on new players
A massive win for the revitalised Saints. Rudi the red arsed reindeer has a very shiny bum What comes next should be a lot of fun.
80M, really? I thought SR had come in and changed things by splashing the cash? We definitely need to be active in January but just one decent attacking signing will give us a great chance of staying up imo. We're not a million miles away if we can get a few more goals in the team as there's a lot of dross in the league. We're ****ed for sure if we don't sign anyone but I'd be astonished if we didn't. As you've said before it would be beyond baffling for SR to come in and then throw their investment away by making such blatantly poor decisions.
This one is going to be a draw……which probably would be a slight upgrade on what went on before the new manager
Can't see many goals in this TBH. Obviously Mac Allister being unavailable is a boost but they're also missing Welbeck and Webster - also good news for us. I predict a nervy 2-1 win.
9 of which came in 2 games against Leicester (who were crazily bad in defence that day) and Chelsea (2 own goals by Chelsea). Take those two games out and it's 14 in 12 games.
I mean, sure: if you take a team's highest-scoring matches out of the equation for some reason, they will absolutely look like they score fewer goals. Subtract the Bournemouth and Saints matches and Liverpool has a mere 16 in 12.
