Highlights include the "Triple Niemi" (1:55min in) and a quite stunning goal by Augustin Delgado. As well as a cracking freekick by Beattie and Sol Campbell getting sent off.
Ah the the "Triple Niemi" - the best goal keeping I've seen at St Mary's. Come to think of it, wasn't there a a "Single Blayney" against Newcastle once that Alan Shearer applauded? May 2004 3-3?
I remember Strachan once saying "sometimes a player can create space for himself, just by standing still". This goal was a perfect example of what he meant, showing Bergkamp's awareness and ability to lose his marker, by not doing, or running into the area the defender was expecting the ball to be played into.
Sol Campbell & Arsenal getting that double punishment with the red card and pen. Putting my statto glasses on the commentator mentioned that was Wengers 47th red card in his reign. Szcenzy(my polish is poor) got his 100th Wednesday night. Great result and a fine performance against what was one of the best ever teams in English football history. Niemi was immense as usual.
