Soup

Ok, I'm running out of foodstuff to talk about but anything is better than the never ending Celtic nonsense.

So what does it for you? I reckon Heinz Tomato will probably come out on top but I can't abide the stuff.

I make a mean roasted sweet potato & butternut squash soup, plenty of seasoning and a bit of chili to pep it up. Failing that beef Big Soup is nice.

I don't stir another man's soup though <sloppysecondssmiley>

I am going to make a chicken ginger soup today G R , hack the breast legs and thighs off a big chicken for later boil the **** out of the carcass with a few onions garlic peppercorns and ginger , then after about 3 hrs drain the bones meat and mess into another pan pick off all the chicken add diced spuds cabbage carrots and corn ....
Guaranteed to not get sick when it`s cold and really tasty..

My favourite is clam chowder but i can`t cook that...

Is there a difference between soup and broth?

 

Broth is actually the liquid which forms the base of a soup.

 

Spelling?

 

If the broth is the liquid, the the rest have a fancy name?

 

Oxtail soup from a tin is nice, in fact, I don't think I know anybody who makes homemade oxtail soup and if I did, I would be asking serious questions.
