Nicklas Bendtner and Vito Mannone are edging closer to permanent moves away from Arsenal with the Dane claiming he’s talking to several clubs and the Italian goalkeeper open to staying on full-time at Hull City.

The duo were deemed surplus to requirements this season by Arsene Wenger, with both undertaking relatively successful loan spells away from the Emirates.

Confirming that he will wait until after the European Championships before deciding on his future, Bendtner is quoted as saying by Sky Sports:

“Yes, I have talked to other clubs. I have told all the clubs that I want to wait until after Euro 2012.

“We have got plenty of time to sort out the future.”

The Dane’s camp were making very similar noises last season, claiming even sides on the wrong side of Jupiter were interested in his universal talent, before he settled on an invitation from then Sunderland boss Steve Bruce… a man whose daughter he once boffed while on loan at Birmingham City.

Despite starting the season at the Emirates, and providing one of the season’s most tragi-comic moments after a failed kung-fu kick led to a goal for Olympiakos in a dead-rubber Champions League game, Mannone has never looked like usurping either Wojciech Szczesny or Lukas Fabianski.

Sent out on loan to Hull City for the second time in the New Year, the Academy graduate has thrived at the Tigers.

“I have made it clear how much I have enjoyed my time with Hull,” the Italian told the Hull Daily Mail.

“I love the fans and I love the club because they have given me such a great opportunity to play regular football.

“I feel as though I have been playing well this season and it would be a very good club to join but I still have a contract with Arsenal. It will be their decision too.”

It’s unlikely many, if any, Arsenal fans will shed a tear if the pair do finalise moves away. Good luck to them…
