http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spor.../newcastle-united-fcs-jonas-gutierrez-5754591 Sorry how many times are we going to hear this from Jonas and Co. Just not good enough. WHU aren't going to be a push over on Saturday they impressed me on MOTD. Not buying Bent will probably come back to bite us when we play Fulham.
Shame Ashley cant show the passion and ambition towards NUFC as he does for making money in the retail world. Regardless of who we were playing last night the match must have highlighted our frailties and weaknesses to JK and MA.
But NUFC is the retail world as far as Ashley is concerned. Shirts are the obvious merchanise. Players are a slower but more profitable turnover and then, all the while he has 55,000 people willing to pay the wages for the players giving him a more or less risk free investment. Yes, his retail business is going to plan. Mind you, he won't be shifting too many "Highlights of the Season" DVDs though.
We don't want his apologies, his best way of saying sorry is ****ing off out the club as he is just worthless. I don't want to hear he works hard - he has no pace, can't beat his man and can't cross. Hopefully his injury will leave him out the team for the forseeable future as I'm sick to death of seeing the useless bastard embarrass himself in the Black and White.
The players need to shut their f*****g mouths after that display last night. I'm sick of hearing them say sorry. Takes away their bloody wages and let them prove how sorry they really are. It's ok for them to sit in their mansions or drive their expensive cars and come out with crap like this. They don't know how fans feel when they see rubbish like last night. I paid £45 for a ticket (with the ridiculous £1 penny pinching 'admin fee') plus £28 to travel down to the game. Not cheap at all. For my trouble I got to watch that shower of s**t. I'm done with away games. This isn't just a knee jerk reaction. It's a response to spending a fortune to watch utter crap.
Frankly this match was as banker a home win as you could have had on the opening weekend, I have no big issue with that. However, I guarantee ANY of the newly promoted or so-called 'lesser' EPL clubs would have gone to City and shown more fight, discipline and resilience than NUFC did. No other club on the opening weekend would suffer a 4-0 (could have been 9-0) thrashing like that, because we compound it by imploding, pressing self-destruct. Before the game I said on Twitter that a good result for Newcastle would be keeping 11 men on the pitch! Couldn't even do that because we have to throw ourselves on the sword, turn a drama into a crisis by our own making. The Cabaye bid was unfortunate, but by god if we can grab an excuse we'll rinse it for all it's worth. Beaten before they set foot on that pitch...
It was a banker all right and I didn't expect anything. That performance reminded me of the Liverpool home game though.
Taylor needs to offer this weeks wages to charity. I hope the club at least fine him for getting sent off for well being a total and utter tit (and I like ST)
I laid the 0-0 at 20s on Betfair last night. My risk lasted for all of six minutes. I was, I have to admit, hoping to hang on a little longer before I collected...
Let's see how much things improve against West Ham and Fulham. Words come easy, let's see them put the words into action.
