I genuinely have a soft spot for Villa as I remember only too fondly the 1982 European Cup as a 15 year old lad. Our two clubs have a long and rich history together as the dominant forces of English football to the turn of the 20th century. However, the under handed events of last January in the Judas-Gate affair, when Houllier tapped up our player and then tried to pretend it was all an innocent coincidence at that hurriedly arranged but excruciatingly embarrassing press conference, to announce your new player, left all of us up here very cold towards your club. Judas cockily stated that he was moving to a club with player like Young and Downing which showed him he was moving to a 'bigger' club? It was all total horseshit of course, as he simply moved for £30k a week more wages, showing no loyalties to a chairman, manager & fans, that threw him a lifeline when he was drowning at Spurs and then gave him everything to welcome him into our club like family. I remember well the taunts of many villa fans that day, that you were the dogs bollocks now and we were just a small ****e club and no wonder he left us to join a club that would soon be on its way to Europe again. Well 'Ho-****ing-Ho' this morning. Friedel and Young gone already and Downing gone today. Houllier's been ****ed off and Alex 'bore draw' McLeish recruited as your new manager. A Birmingham relegation reject? My good god how low can you go? Wonder what old Judas is thinking this morning? Get me the **** out of here is one guess? Good luck next season and thanks for your money for Judas. It has allowed us to rebuild and progress this summer and with still 1 or 2 more to come in, we look forward to the new campaign with relish. See you all on the 29th when old Judas (if he hasn't conjured a move) will be given the kind of welcome up at the SOL he truly deserves. What goes around comes around folks?
