Just found this interesting piece about football before the Premier League so I though Id share it for anyone who has not seen it. May be an interesting point for debate. Like more than a few people I'm not a huge fan of how it's turned out, this for me is less based on our recent failed attempts to be in and stay in the top flight. The premier league seems fragmented into three parts. The big power house clubs that this league has helped create, your top six clubs. You then have the mid table mediocrity clubs and then the bottom yo yo clubs. One team that is the exception to the rule is Southampton who having dropped down a couple of divisions bounced back and may have a chance of a top five finish. If that happened then I personally think this is good for football and gives us all hope (not just QPR) that it can still be done. Have a read. The dawn of the Premier League in 1992 changed football forever: big-money TV deals, new stadiums and more foreign players.
