My heart goes out to Delboy because I believe he has an impossible task with this bunch of losers. I really do belive in him and listening to his apology over the performance, can't call it a performance really, yeserday I felt his heart bleeding. This response from his charges is sad beyond belief. The situation at AG has reached a critical level and emergency surgery is the only thing that will save us. We can all surmise how we reached this point but none of have the solution that will be used. Surely crisis talks will be held today or tomorrow and muppet Sexstone will put in his usual grin and old school tie opinions which up to date have been less than useless. Like Derek I am bleeding for the future of our club and I don't see any capability at senior mangement level - just culpability. If I were Derek I would go to management and say "these players need to be told they have no future at our club - get rid of them now" much as was touted on the thread of should there be a list of a similar nature. I'm starting to ramble now because I'm absolutely gutted by what's been allowed to happen to BCFC and I think that a potential suspect might have a new job soon at some rugby club or other, and the old colstonian tie will blend in much better. Rambling rant over.
The thread that I wanted to refer to was from premiershiporbust and was about the retained list for next sesaon being given now. Credit where credit is due prem!
Sorry but DM has to take some of the blame for this or should I say the board should take the blame? As it was them that took on an unexperienced manager on at this level. (another cheap option) If the players arn't putting the effort in then it's DM's job to sort it out.......... When DM came in he managed to spur the squad to some good wins and move us of the bottom......but the test was once we lost a couple, how the players and manager would bounce back....problem is they haven't. I think most of us said at the time, that just a couple of players in should be enough to secure a place in the championship for next season. I'm not entirely convinced that the players DM have brought in are such a vast improvement to what we had. The dressing room seems to be way down in confidence, which is something DM needs to address......that's his job. Does DM know whats required to keep us up is the question? If there players out there that we can loan in that he wants, then the board should back him all the way. My worries are, I'm not sure if this job is just a bit too big for him.....I hope I'm wrong. Relegation would be a complete disaster. If that happens then the players, the manager and the board would have failed.
Cant deny what your saying Onefor But it aint over 'til its over... However... I ranted about up-grading the youth academy and bringing in some experienced talent to run it 5 years ago, after we lost to Hull at Wembley. If the club had acted then, we could be at the other end of the table and pushing for promotion by now with a team of young talent. I also banged on about the need to up-grade our central defence at that time, and it has taken 4 managers 5 years to bring in a player like McManus. Its a bit like hitting your head against a brick wall supporting this club
I am starting to feel like you brightred. I have supported BCFC for over 50 years and although most of those years have been from afar I still bleed red. We have always been an underperforming team, except for the years when I had no info on my team due to non-media coverage in Canada, and we still continue down the same path to nowhere. Is there something in our makeup that let's us take this rubbish year after monotonous year? Is BCFC the unfashionable place that a lot of pundits declare, because I think we're better than that label but unmfortunately they may be right I'm sorry to say.
REDORDEAD I think if we wait till the summer it we will be "dead and red" 20 games == won 7 drew 4 lost 9 and the pts gained 25 goals for 18 against 25 ave points = 1.25 season end = 58 Season overall 31 points from 32 games = 0.97 season end = 45 = relegation in 23rd place. LAST GAME WE HAD 7 YELLOW, THIS CALMED THE TEAM DOWN AS THEY COULD HAVE HAD PLAYERS OFF, SO THEY PLAYED A BIT LESS THAN WITH A RED MIST AND GOT A DRAW. THIS WEEK THEY REIGNED THEY BACK AND ALLOWED PETERBRO TO GET THE BEST OF THE PLAY...MAYBE NEXT GAME IT WILL BE 50 / 50 AND WE GET A RESULT............BETTER BE or maybe .........
