Rofl. Apparently, he was knocked out by a couple of bouncers, in which case they should be locked up pretty soon.

It's not a bouncers job to pull people out of cars and kick the **** out of them.

Rofl, so he smacks someone, then his friends separate them apart, try to get him into a taxi, and it's the bouncers job to go out and kick the **** out of him? No, it isn't.

Some bouncers are just neanderthals who look for the first excuse to beat the crap out of anyone. They should only be restraining Simpson and then holding him down until the police get there, not knocking him out and leaving in the middle of a street.

That's another thing, the fact that they left him in a street is even worse. If you get into a fight with someone, you can't just leave them unconscious in the middle of a street. If something happens to them, then you are responsible for not calling the police or an ambulance.

Yet you trivialise him smacking someone first...

I say your argument is flawed on so many levels.

the bouncers were off duty mate not that it makes any difference but if Simpson is going to run his mouth and smacks someone then there is the chance he might get a smack back, the only person's fault in this was Simpson

The bloke he smacked, according to whats been reported, wasn't knocked out, and could have gotten himself aid. Simpson was unconscious in the middle of a street, and it took a couple of randomers to even check if he was alright.

The sickening thing is, most of them were just taking pictures to sell to newspapers. Why the **** should I be surprised? Human beings are ****s.

You say his friends were there to separate the first fight, so how did it take a couple of randomers to check if he was alright? Where were his mates?

I challenge you to a game of subbuteo..

Or maybe a drinking competition, involving white lightning, barley wine and cheer b...

But not at the once famous Strawberry bistro..

    ..................................

A pub in the shadow of Newcastle United's ground has changed its name from The Strawberry to La Fraise in honour of the football club's French signings.

The pub is a favourite with the Toon Army, standing across the road from the Gallowgate end of St James' Park.

The Magpies have 11 Frenchmen in their squad, having signed four in the current transfer window.

Their influx has seen an increase in interest in the Geordies from fans across the Channel, so much so that their team press conferences are now attended by French TV reporters.

The club's chief scout, Graham Carr, despite not speaking French, is credited with bringing in top talent from Ligue 1.

Strawberry assistant manager, Jane Scott, said: "The name change is just a joke, but it is something for the French players."

The Strawberry is one of the city's oldest pubs and is named after the fruit Dominican monks used to grow to make wine.

So after his friends separate the people, and get him to the taxi, where did his friends go?

But the thing that is perplexing me most is what were they ordering?

I'm not saying I would go so far as to knock someone out, but I'm craving a parmo and a garlic bread with kebab meat on it. Mmmmmmmmm healthy.

I suspect there won't be any complaint coming from Simpson to the police and it'll be brushed under the carpet. Why is it that whenever something is going right at Newcastle something ridiculous happens off the pitch to drag the clubs name through the mud.

So what you are saying Tash is: its ok for Simpson to be the bully but not be bullied? By all accounts Danny Simpson was giving it the big all 'do you know who i am' and hit a man in his 50's. Now this is a professional athlete who daily works on attibutes such as power and is hitting a man twice his age. But when someone bigger comes along and hits Danny this isnt ok?

You sir are an idiot if you can not see the hypocrisy of your argument.
