Who should play in goal on Saturday? Normally I would have gone for Begovic but he is in a form dip at the moment having leaked 11 in the last 3 PL games. He is also on duty for Bosnia in the Euro play-offs so won't be fully rested. Thomas has performed well in the Europa and Carling Cup and must be itching for a recall to the PL team. My vote would be Sorenson but what will TP do?
Only fair that Tommy gets a go. Begovic is bound to be a little confidence shot after recent games so I think it would be right for Tommy to be given a run and see how he does.
This is tough on Begovic I think but.. Tommy for me v Q.P.R. Begovic was a fault for a few of those goals but not all by a long shot! What will Tony P do.. who knows? I'm not actually sure myself to be honest our defence being so bad, is NOT all down to Begovic. Hence like we've all said. TRY Ryan and Huth as two C/halfs and let them do what they both do best.
Begovic has made a few mistakes of late, but he is not the reason we are leaking goals left right and centre! The whole defence has been shocking and disjointed this season and we are lucky not to have conceeded more! I remember when Tommy was flapping abit before begovic got a run and we were all saying the same thing then! Begoivc for me is one of the best natural shot stoppers, but our defence cant give away 10-15 shots ON GOAL every game! I'm split!
I'd probably start by saying I'm going to play Shawx & Huth at centreback with Placious just in front to create a regular and solid central spine!
It is a tough call as to who should be in goal on Saturday. I agree that the defence as a whole has been poor but I do think Tommy deserves a run out against QPR. More interesting may be what other changes TP makes after the Bolton debacle. I haven't a clue what team he will put out but I am getting quite excited as to how he will approach the game and how he will set them up. Will the fans get their wish re Huth/Ryan, will Palacios get 90mins? I can't wait!
Potter I've just read Lou's usual rightup in the Sentinel. He's basically saying the same as myself and Smither's.. It's not just down to Begovic.. if you give any team enough shots/chances they will score, whoever is in goal. I'm starting to change my mind on this.. but we'll see what T.P. does. For the first time in a while,I'm excited about this weekends game for the reasons you mentioned. Let's hope Begovic plays a blinder tonight
did begovich play last night ? if so, won't have done his confidence any good having six stuck past him. Haven't seen any of the match but if he did play the score says it all doesn't it ?

Huthy We SHOULD have gone back to basic's weeks ago.. T.P. is to blame for that NO ONE else IMO No one seem's to know what they are doing on the pitch defensively, that's how I see it anyway.
We shouldn't have to GO back to basics! We should be doing the basics week in week out, were not a Lads & Dads team we are are a prem outfit!

I totally agree. im amazed how peoples minds work!!. The keeper is the least of our worries at the moment!
Smither's THAT is why I was undecided about Begovic. Although, for two of the goals, Tommy S did not stand a chance IMO. Begovic must be thinking WTF? Whitehead/Delap and Co will still F****** play next week WHY TONY?
