Sonny Carey Appreciation thread

I love this player. It's only October and he’s put down a marker for POTY.

 

Handy if she likes a hole in her chapatis

 

Quality player - the last two games he has been immense keep him fit keep on getting results

 

The way he carried the ball at feet at pace last night & then finished was class - you can’t coach that.

 

The Nicky Bailey song will be heard soon replaced with Sonny Carey

 

Have I not heard it being sung at the Valley already?

Sometimes the words are hard to make out - my hearing is not great when there is a lot of background noise - but the tune unmistakable.

 

Technically he’s a far better player than Bailey.

That’s basically the lyrics replacing Carey for Bailey

 

Carey has never scored more than 8 league goals in a season. This could well be the year he gets into double figures.
Bailey scored 13 league goals in 2008-09 (this level) and 12 in 2009-10 (3rd tier).

Will be interesting to see how their stats stack up in the fullness of time.

Sorry for being a bit unclear. I'm familiar with the lyrics, but I wasn't sure if the recent chants I heard were about Carey.

My hearing was damaged after I suffered a bad ear infection when about 20 years old.
I struggle to pick out words when I'm in a crowded place with high background noise.
