How do...been a bit of an occasional lurker so I thought it time I finally stepped out of the shadows.. There's a feature on the BBC 6Music early morning show looking to find songs which mention each team in the football league. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0072l8y/features/home-team-glory Monday they're looking for songs with QPR or Queens Park Rangers..I know I could search on Google but I thought it'd be a good thread to open up to all and sundry. I was struggling but I bet there must be something.
Welcome badger. This is the only song I'm aware of. They used to play it before games in the late 70's. How times have changed.
That takes me back. They used to play that in the build up to the match when I started watching in the mid 80's.

Broken Love Song by Pete Doherty. Something like 'Sitting near my cell window, Hear the Loft boys sing, Come on you R's, Carried on the wind' He might be a skag head twat sometimes but writes some great music .
Glad you stepped out of the shadows. You'll find we don't bite .................. much, looks like you could do with some REP, though.
I know it's not quite what you're looking for but here's YES playing at Loftus Road. The sound recording isn't so great but there's some good views of LR in '75 right from the beginning.
Well I am exiled in Gloucestershire so I have to keep my head down...I feared for my life when I strayed across the border into Somerset for the Yeovil game...
Not a direct reference but the theme tune to 'Only Fools and Horses' We've got some half priced cracked ice And miles and miles of carpet tiles TV's, deep freeze and David Bowie LP's Pool games, gold chains, wosnames And at a push Some Trevor Francis track-suites From a mush in Shepherds Bush, Bush, Bush, Bush, Bush, Bush, Bush, Bush
Well just recently it's been...
It didn't take long for it to desend into punnery did it...if that's how things work round here might I suggest "Hoops I did it again" by Britney Spears.. Glad there are some real songs out there that actually have our wonderful team name in them so ta for the great suggestions..
