Yet another thread with the aim of taking my mind off Saturday. I suspect this has been done before, so apologies in advance.

Anyway, back when I was a Milton Roader my claim to fame (which as we all know actually means the complete opposite) was that me and my mate Dale came up with the song/chant, "Give it to Ron, give it to Ron, on his head, on his head". We thought we were Lennon and McCartney.

We have had some great songs since then and some really awful ones. So I was wondering what have been your favourites over the years and any ideas for new ones.

One that I would have liked during the Redknapp era is something from the great "Hurry up Harry, come on. We're going down the pub" etc. Sham 69 as I recall.

One I keep trying to get going now is for Billy Sharp to the tune of The Jam's "Billy Hunt" i.e. "Billy Sharp, Billy Sharp Billy, Billy, Billy" etc. Without any success I might add, apart from Mrs Lff who humours me occasionally.

So, what have you got. It doesn't have to be clever, one of my all time favourites was, for example, "ooh Terry Hurlock" Not exactly Shakespeare.

Swing Lowe has to be one of my favourite Saints exclusive ones. A more generic favourite, the poetic "ooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhh you fat bastard! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" for pure childish fun.

As for ones of my own, I sadly lack the creative side for that!

I remember after playing one of the London teams who obviously thought we all spoke like Mick Channon and were goading us with ooh argh, ooh argh, that we incorporated that into the song. So it became, "ooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhh you fat bastard! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, ohh argh". Joy!

One chant this season that made me chuckle was when there was a long delay getting the ball back into play:

"We've only got one ball, we've only got one ball"

Knowing me knowing you Pahaaars was always a good one! More recently when Jos missed a header at Boro "He only scores on a Tuesday" made me chuckle.

It was indeed. I remember hearing it sung at Southend Away in 2009.

I like the "laughing" song because of its origins. The Hull song to us I heard at Leeds a few years back - the simple "You're French and you know you are" was their rendition.

On the subject of songs and French, why haven't we come up with a song for Morgan? Leeds and then United sang the Cantona song to the tune of La Marseillaise that was mind numbingly "Ooh ah, Cantona". Surely we could do better. French for "come on let's go" is simply on y va. Morgan is said with the emphasis on the second syllable so ...

On y va Morgan could be sung to La Marseillaise. Could the Northam choir consider this one?!

we need a Jos song apart from the "tuesday" one... which by the way wasn't funny saturday!

We could also do with a Morgan one.

    Morgan one could be:

Score a goal Morgan Schneiderlin, we will love you more than you will know, woooaahhhh woah woah woah. (Tune of Mrs Robinson if anyone (doubtful) didn't know!)

He doesn't score very often so the chant could fit well?
