Great to hear Danny is expecting out this week, and hopefully can work towards a full recovery. What will we sing when he gets back then? "One Danny Seaborne!" or can someone be imaginative. I've got an idea but it might not make some laugh, might make others laugh though.
No - i think he's seen our support enough personally without singing chants, chances are he wont even be at the game
Why have you got such a downer on Dan, SF4L?....The guy has just recovered from a possible life threatening injury. The very least he should get is a standing ovation, after all he is part of the Saints family....I just hope any chants are respectful and don't include any references to his unfortunate accident.
Good idea yes but im not so sure whether he will want all of the fuss. It could easily turn into the Connolly back from the dead thing and him getting annoyed.
i don't have a downer on him, i just think he's probably seen enough support - theres only so much you can give IMO i admit I was truly shocked and felt sick when i read the news, ive wanted him to get better as much as everyone, but maybe having some messages in the programme would be better if you ask me
So the fans chanting his name all together is too much, but compiling notes and reading out messages over the tannoy isn't? I would say that's more of a fuss. The song I had heard bandied around was "I get knocked down but I get up again" but features lines about drinking, and says "Oh Danny Boy" hence me being cautious

Which is why I said it may not be appropriate, although there is potential in one line, others could totally destroy it. "One Danny Seaborne!" is much more apt, unless someone can muster something?
'One Danny Seabourne' shows appreciation and will get the whole ground involved. Anything else will just peter out. He won't be back for a while, but after a head injury he might appreciate a bit of silence! Perhaps that Bjork song?
I belive he has been told to rest for at least ten weeks and certainly dont expect to see him at a home match for a few weeks yet.

Excellent Skate Bored. Had he not been getting better, then I'd say maybe not in the best of taste. But as he is (and we're all delighted to hear it) then I think this is not only very funny but harmless.
What a great idea. I think a chant of "There's only One Danny Seaborne " would be appropriate & would show how the crowd is thinking of him. I am sure the whole ground would join in & would be a great boost for the team. I expect some of his family may go to the game today to support the team & it would be brilliant for them to hear it & pass on to Dan. Great to read the report from Adkins about Seaborne & the incident. Puts us fans fully in the picture & shows what a great club we support.
