From a Plymouth fan... forget @Clb74 's legs this is what football can do to a man https://www.not606.com/threads/what-now-for-argyle.374136/ We should all feel Plym's pain. AllHell
Hi you Addicks......I've been an Argyle expat for seventy years...ever since I was roughly ten. I've lived in NW Kent since 1954 and made the mistake of taking my son down the Valley with his mate in the late 70's/80s....Mr Hales was your top-gun in those days. So my son and grandson are Charlton season ticket holders and I have popped along sometimes to watch the odd game....about four years back my grandson was the mascot for the 3-1 win against Reading. You've got a great chance of getting to Wembley this year and to get Doncaster (2nd leg at home)... instead of Sunderland or Portsmouth ended up being a great bonus yesterday for you.....you've got a Plymouth born lad in your team at present...Purrington....his younger brother is on the verges of are squad at present. So disappointed that Sunderland... who have hardly lost anything this season....are so out of form that they do the impossible and lose at Southend...the worse I expected would have been a draw....which would have kept us in Div 1.....I'm just hoping my son and grandson can keep from rubbing salt into the wounds at present because we're not that bad a team.....just that our ex-manager Derek Adams was too pig-headed to see that his method just wasn't working and the players weren't playing for him anymore. All the best to your team...that you get to Wembley and do well....I might be there as well.
