Just back from lunch and I had something that I don't think I have had since my late teens. A Cornish Pasty. It was lovely. However, one small quibble, was the shape of it. It was quite flat. When you used to buy pasties from the shops they were a sort of elongated triangular type shape, like a Toblerone, and they were taller. On the top they also had that lovely "ridged" effect. The shape did not put off my enjoyment of said pasty but it was a trifle disappointing. My prozac seems to be working a treat today. Well that and the glorious weather. Anything you have not eaten in donkey's and may try soon?
My 78 year old mum made a ginger fridge cake recently, the first time I'd had one since I was a kid. It's basically a packet of Ginger Snap biscuits covered in extra-thick double cream, and left in the fridge to set. Bloody marvelous.
Not had a stovie since I was 15. The man in a van used to park outside the school gate and sell them in plastic cups.
