Potts I'm getting more and more convinced that TP reads not606 mate or is Welsh Mourinho really is press agent? We will never know but it certainly is getting uncanny now! Keep posting tips guys.........

I'll start, Tony get rid of Diao and Sidibe now!

Were people really slating Pulis because he doesn't wave to the fans often enough? Clutching at straws, innit?

It looked like it was HAIL on my pc mate?
I missed ten mins of 2nd half cos the link went blink.

NICE to see that Mr Pulis was as pleased as we all were after that result.
    I'm NOT changing tack Huthy..

I was WRONG in thinking we would do so WELL... I think we all were?
So, I'll give massive credit to T.P. and the team for what is actually, CHAMPION'S form.
I think? Only Arsenal can better our last 8 results re points gained although, I may be wrong.?

As for me being Tony Pulis, NO WAY i'm too negative and I don't wear a baseball cap.

    Jose and Huthy
    Happy new year guys....

<cheers> YOU got me hook line and sinker!
P.S. it was snowy on my P.C. link too! Must have been effected by the wind.
Nigel the voice was about 15 sec's in front of my link, also had the radio on. So, I knew Crouch had scored before Whitehead chipped the ball into the box. <laugh>

Happy New Year to you all guys, even Waddo. Sorry I've not been on at all over the festive period, family commitments and drinking commitments saw my laptop gathering dust for a couple of weeks.

Nicky, in my mind anyone is allowed any opinion they like as long as they're consistent with it - that's why I respect your posts on here.

Good win the other day, although we got a tad lucky with a couple of goalmouth scrambles I thought Woodgate had his best game for us and is finally showing why Pulis, Redknapp and co rate him so highly when fit.

I don't see our good run of results lasting too long with Liverpool and Man Utd away coming up, but so long as we give those games a good go and show some positivity I don't mind too much about the scoreline.

All joking apart, it is great that he is acknowledging the fans and we all feel he could do it a bit more often. I do think TP's nature has affected his emotions in relation to the Stoke City following and this is an area I fell (IMO) he needs to work on. I was always taught that manners cost nothing, and i think TP giving some of the fans (especially the hard core away supporters) a token of his appreciation would go along way and cost nothing!

On a slightly negative note, its easy to applaud after an away win and a generally positive performance, but I dont recall much affection to the crowd after the Bolton and Sunderland thumpings?

Probably because he was too embarrassed by the performance to go over and applaud them. I find it cringeworthy when managers like Owen Coyle make a point of going over to the away end to applaud travelling Bolton fans after another away-day stuffing - always seems a bit desperate to me.

Also, if Pulis DID applaud the fans at every available opportunity, no doubt some on here would accuse him of being an arrogant so-and-so and that he was deliberately hogging the limelight from the players. Pulis has always been one to leave the spotlight to the players and Coates family, even during the on-pitch promotion celebrations he was conspicuous by his abscence.

I agree a happy medium is ideal, but like I said on another thread - it's really clutching at straws if that's what people are moaning about at the moment. <peacedove>

I think your right there Welsh One, however, whether it be a niave mistake in the language used to express a feeling or opinion, TP seems to be able to stand in front of the press on a regular basis and discuss the reasons why we are punching above our weight etc................. and by defination infer that he is the single factor in creating a winning team beyond its capabilities.

I wrote a thread (which I am sure yu have cast your eye over at some point) titled "I've created a montser". He quite catagorically states in his choice of words (be it deliberate or not) that HE has taken the club further than its capablities and that would by defination infer that he seeking an attention or recognition for the sucess he believes he is responsible for! In relation to the limelight being ft to the players and Coates family I agree that he doesn often deflect that side 3rd party normally by reffering to Stoke as "THIS CLUB" etc, however this something that you will see in many types of middle management roles within large organistations and does not always reflect the true thoughts of the individual.

Anyway, I do agree with that a happy medium would be the ideal senario and I dont think people are clutching at straws, this is something a large number of fans have commented on over the past 18 months or so and whilst I understand that he is doing a job, if I were chairman I want him to understand that it is more like a lifestyle.

Happy New year to you and I look forward to more of your balanced and constructive commenst through the remainder of the season.
