My team:- McLaughlin, Hurley, Gray, , Borini, Phillips.. Im picking Hurley because of the great things ive been told about him although ive never seen him play. My 5 aside team would need 1 big CB. The rest ive picked are from my era and trying to keep within the 15m budget.
I'll go with Mannone, Kaboul, Borini, Phillips and Defoe. Not much cop defensively, although Defoe and Borini can defend a bit, but the goals would fly in. Went for Mannone because although he's not the tallest or great with crosses none of that matters for five a side and he's a canny shot stopper.
Good thread mate. As it's 5 a side, and I'm a big softy, I'm going on sentimentality and mobility ... McLaughlin Rowell Hughes Marco Borini
Tweaking mine to: Sorensen, Kaboul, Shackleton, Phillips and Carter Or keeping the theme from @Nathan Brazil I'd like to see: Lee Cattermole Lee Cattermole Lee Cattermole Lee Cattermole Raich Carter
Kaboul Shackleton Gabbiadini Rowell Phillips Tactical surprise playing Kaboul as a sweeper/keeper, front three full of goals and Shack doing whatever he wanted.
Shack without a doubt, Carter, super Kev, Defoe, Gabbiadini. pity Chris turner is not on that list as he was our greatest goalkeeper ever !.
