I feel sick saying this as I never wish this upon my beloved team...

    BUT

I am strangely considering wanting us to lose on Saturday and Bruce to be sacked...

Is this wrong? Or am I thinking about the future of Sunderland too much?

If we lose on Saturday, I still think we will stop up..

ARGH I am so confused about what I want for Sunderland...

Win Bruce may stop and we will forever be a maybe but failed team.
Lose and Bruce could be sacked, and a better manager could come in....

One win and we'll be 9th! FFS the people of these boards need to seriously get a grip of their lives! We have Wigan AT HOME next game. Wishing your team to loose is beyond forgiveable!!

Are you behind the team? If you are, support Bruce. If not, support Newcastle.

Couldn't agree more, we need more supporters to get behind the team no matter what the outcome.

You sound confused and I hope people like you do not go to the stadium for matches.

C'mon Sunderland, prove these doubters wrong! FTM

    Well said mate.

I do believe that maybe a change is needed, but i woill support Bruce and the lads until he's no longer there to support.

I would NEVER want to see the lads lose (unless there was a large financial reward in it for me like, mebs...)

I have supported Sunderland all my life, who are you to preach to me get a grip, and **** right off with your support Newcastle , i have never had a bad word for any supporters of my club on here, but i find you rather obnoxious in you catorisation of supporters, yes i am behind the team always, and no im not behind Bruce, the quickest way for him to go is to lose at the weekend, which i think will be better for the club all round.

If we did get relegated who could we attract, better to get a good new manager now there are plenty around.

A very disappointing end to the season .... yes.
But........... the longgggggggggggggg list of injuries this season is very REAL, and has had an effect. Could not fail to be otherwise!

Each of us, has an idea of what our 'ideal' first XI is.
Look at your team and count how many have NOT been out injured for a significant numer of games.

    Should be revealing... :)

Nice one Toger. Tell whoever he is where the door is! Glad to see differing views but noone can insult another to the point of telling them not to support THEIR team. Prrattt

I can't believe that anyone with Sunderland in the heart would say what you have just came out with..You need ya heed looking at mate.
It is absolutely vital that we get something out of the game on Saturday, otherwise we will be deep in the ****.

You were a brave man to go public with your thoughts and I can see where you're coming from, however, you can't possibly wish the team to lose.............under ANY circumstances.

You, like the rest of us, are entitled to your opinion, but you were always going to put yourself in front of the firing squad with this one mate! :emoticon-0107-sweat

OP is more than entitled to his views ...

Me personally, I like to see us win, I'd like us to have a strong finish to the season, pick up as many points as possible and then have the board make an well informed decision whether or not Bruce is the man to continue at the helm.

Even with a strong finish to the season I don't believe Bruce's job is 100% secure, I think enough questions have been asked of him lately for that to be the case.

What gets me is some of the posts I've seen by people thinking if we play like we did against Birmingham then 3 points at the weekend is almost a dead cert .... far from it I'd say, Wigan after all from what I can remember lately have always seemed to be a bit of a thorn in our side!

I think it'll be a edgy atmosphere but I'm sure the crowd will do their part, I just pray the team turn up and the first goal flys into that Wigan net (from who, I've no idea, don't care) but if Wigan nick the 1st goal and we don't respond well ... am I the only one who thinks the atmosphere might get a little ugly?? :emoticon-0107-sweat

I can guarantee that Bruces job is safe, even if we get beat there is no way that Quinny will sack him.
