Is there anything that people seem to find hilarious on TV and you just don't get it? My one is controversial I suppose, but anything involving the "Mike Bassett" character. I gotta say, I generally don't find Ricky Tomlinson funny, but Mike Bassett, good lord. I think any football fan could have written that series and it would have turned out just as bland and predictable, with Ricky's usual, ahem, scouse humour. I dunno, just don't get it.
Back in the day I never found the Young Ones as funny as all of my friends. It was funny in parts but not as rip roaringly funny as a lot of people made out. Same with Bottom.
I actually used to get exhausted watching Rik Mayall in anything. The energy and the constant laughing track that was sometimes deafening, yeah, I'm with you. Both weren't that good.
Noel Fielding deserves a shout out. Mighty Boosh is eh. And I think I once saw a live at the Apollo in which he pretended to be a house fly for 2 minutes. It consisted of him saying "BZZZZ NOW IM ON THE WALL BBBZZZZZZZZZZ BZZZZZZZ BZZZZZZZ NOW IM ON YOUR FOOD BZZZZZZ BBZZZZZZZZ" The crowd was laughing their heads off and I genuinely wanted to smash the TV to bits.
i used to have a friend that thought it was hilarious going around knick juicing people !!! or in other words wiping a finger that had been up his bumhole across peoples top lip !! i never found this very amusing
