Hope it's not anything like a Cattermole contract knock back. Got a bad feeling. Yarm is on the rag's doorstep (it's a Darlington paper) and Sunderland exclusives aren't usually their forte ..

Played 28 games last season, so few worries about his past injury record. Wes, JOS, Coates and one new CB will be fine for one more season I think. Would like the new boy to be a starter of course but this takes some pressure off trying to find two. Also seems Vergini won't stay? As I'd expected with Dick and quite agree.

Unless our new cb is going to be truly top class I'm worried going into another season with both Jo's and Wes on the books unless both have taken significant pay cuts

Get rid i say and off the wage bill. The thought of both him and JOS in the same side next season worries me to death. Even if it was just the odd game due to injuries...
I'd like to see us sign pace pace and more pace all over the pitch...

We must be watching different teams, with brown in the squad we were far more comfortable on the ball and IMHO picked up more points then lemonade boy. I wanna see us sign the Celtic bloke, Coates and Huth.. But I want be disappointed if big bad Wes brown is In a SAFC jersey next season! Bloody good news to me!

If Wes plays half the season (19) games I'll guarantee you we'll pick up more points then Jos in the team. I'm not asking a miracle from the bloke. He's a leader mate and someone valued in the dressing room.

Oh mate, with 2 broken legs Brown is better than JOS, not denying that

Both need replacing imo though, would rather they were backups
