http://www.itv.com/sport/football/a...-someone-at-qpr-is-trying-to-get-me-the-sack/ Harry Redknapp has accused a Loftus Road insider of trying to end his reign as QPR manager. Following reports he is one game from the sack, the former Tottenham boss believes he retains the full support of QPR owner Tony Fernandes, but admitted he suspects challenges to his stewardship elsewhere behind the scenes. Yet Redknapp believes a win over Manchester United at Loftus Road on Saturday would wipe out any talk of him leaving the club. "Somebody is trying to cause me a problem here, by talking to the papers," said Redknapp. "I know what the score is: I'm not silly, I'm very streetwise. "Someone's trying to cause me a problem I'm sure. I wasn't born yesterday. Someone has said something, but it's not a problem. "I've never had it before, I've never been at a club before where someone has said I'm going to get the sack. "And I don't see why, who puts it in the paper. Someone's put it in the paper. "If I win it's all forgotten. I'm not silly. There's always someone trying to put the spoke in. They should check everyone's mobile phones and find out. "That's the best way, it's easy." Redknapp is determined to secure his own future and drag QPR to Barclays Premier League safety despite the club sitting 19th in the table. How about try to win away from home? Looks like you did this to yourself. Follows a theme of never guilty. It's some one else's fault.
Les Ferdinand now has his feet well and truly under the table (and very quickly at that). It is Ferdinand who is intentionally playing the destabilization game. From what I have heard he has very quickly started to run down Harry behind the scenes to players and directors alike. He is all in favour of getting rid of Harry and replacing him with his friend, Tim Sherwood. Hoddle would not have any future at the club as he and Sherwood have history and do not like each other. Sadly, these are the games of self interest played by people. Don't be fooled by the wonderful QPR favourite, "Sir" Les, as there is a lot more going on behind the scenes. He is using his legend status amongst the fans for his own benefit and he pursues his own agenda.
Totally agree, the last thing we need is someone ( Ferdinand ) trading on history rather than ability to get us out of this mess, we have that now with redknapp
Sadly, that reads with a lot of plausibility. It does not bode well for our PL survival or our future thereafter.
Someone warned of this when we started hiring coaches & ex-players like they were going out of fashion. Too many Chefs spoil the broth they said. (Can't remember who it was. Maybe Eamo?)
Former QPR and England midfielder Jermaine Jenas 'Not good at QPR' "It's not a good time at the minute at QPR. They had a couple of great results at home and the atmosphere was quite upbeat, but this record of not getting a single point away from home all season is bad, and the lads will know it's bad. "And these rumours of a mole within the club, and the manager's job being on the line, do not help. The only way to make that sort of stuff go away is to win games." Or of course it could be the words of a proven liar who is looking for a way out and attempting to preserve his image
Redknapp's performance wasn't exactly brilliant before Les arrived was it? I think the precarious league position, poor form and woefully inept displays are the main factors undermining his position. ...and for him to say that people are talking too much is laughable.
