It would seem to be that someone has been listening and made some sort of statement regarding one thing that has irked fans.

I stated myself ealrier i nthe week precisely what ayre has said

"It's only right to make announcements when you've got the right solutions. It's alright for people to say Liverpool's a big football club - 60,000 seats, why don't you just go and get on with it? But go and look at the economics of that - of a £300 million build for 15,000 new seats.

"It's pretty hard to make that stack up. The work is going on and a decision will be announced when we've got certainty."

guys need to FACE FACTS. no promises were made, the economics on 300mil are bad and this will only happen if something changes.

At least someone bothered to see what peopel are saying this week and i would hope more announcements on the other things are made in the next two weeks as promised.

£300m for 15,000 seats is bad business. So why not build a stadium which has the capacity to be extended to 80,000 for the future?

planning permission... we have to build a rail link to allow for 75,000 seats... no permission. i don't think we can afford to go that big

But we wouldn't actually be building a 75,000 seat stadium right now, it would still be 60,000 but with the option of extending it in the future, which would give us a chance to build a rail link? No point building a brand new stadium which isn't future proof.

I'm sure this is all being considered, they've got their money for a reason.

I've maintained this all along, either redevelop Anfield, which is what I think FSG want to do, or move to a far better location than the warren that is Anfield, Stanley Park has always been a stupid idea, as you have the very same logistical nightmare that is Anfield.

I have always maintained that by far the best place to locate a new ground is here:
    http://maps.google.co.uk/?ll=53.351742,-2.871466&spn=0.009593,0.027788&t=h&z=16

Backs onto the main rail line, across the road from the airport, on the main road out of the city to the Runcorn bridge, and to the M6/M57 interchange. It is beyond perfect.
