Could he be bound for Greece...maybe so,yet more depressing news when are we going to get some good news..it gets more depressing by the day.
http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11684_6943142,00.html Same story about racon a year ago, to which every source within the club said was bs. Think there must be some palace fans in Greece!
Absolutely, dan - planning a move to Greece must be a bit like acknowledging your football career is over, what UK footballer has ever moved there and come back a better player? And if this lot are so minted and so ambitious - a) why aren't they offering a loan to the Greek Government and b) why are they four off the bottom of the Greek Prem? Definitely a non-starter IMO.
Can but agree, playing at that level in the greek leagues would be tantamount to career and financial suicide for any player who wasn't Greek. The number of players that return to these shores claiming they haven't been paid or are owed money appears to be ignored by the agents who con their players into signing contracts over there. I hope that someone with experience at the PFA can convince Semedo that it is not a good idea to go over there!
I think the last player to try this was Matt Derbyshire, who IMO was a hell of a player before he went, but came back looking very average indeed.
I think Derbyshire was also one of those players who complained about not being paid, agreed he was a great talent at Blackburn i'm sure he was a fixture in the England U21 squad too, not sure where he's at now but if he's out of contract he'd be a great addition to the squad especially as he'd have hunger to succeed - the key in most of Curbs' signings.
I know he played for The Blues for a while. Still there - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matt_Derbyshire Only 170 games in seven seasons...strewth.
