On the Harry Lennon thread at 6.28pm yesterday. Reames losing interest in the Addicks...no longer first choice for his Saturday afternoon entertainment! Could we be seeing the back of him? The 'I've had enough' routine. He trots it out every season...particularly after a bad result or run. He then normally follows this up by spamming his own site with a zillion 'Sack the Manager' threads. How long ago was it when he gave his 100% support for Karl, and anyone else connected to this miserable regime.
Well maybe, but somehow I just feel that there might be some mileage in it this time. Or is it wishful thinking on my part?
Ivor has “lost interest” in Charlton many times before. It might have something to do with Cardiff being in the Championship play off places. #HisTrueLove
ITTV exists mainly to moan about CL and to defend Roland. But there are still a few decent posters there who would be welcome on here if Old Reamsy follows through with his threat.
Could be, because his usual quota of games per season is 2, after that he always finds a reason to trot out the “I've lost interest” routine. Even 'Richard's' millennium lounge passes aren't enough of a pull for him.
This could be all part of a cunning plan by Ivor, aimed at new owner Andrew Muir. Make sure I still get my freebies, else me and the ITTV 6 are withdrawing our support
As others have said, It's not the first time we've heard this. Reams must do what he feels is best. The other members will find other forums should ITTV be closed down, but maybe he will pass it on to somebody there if they step up and want to take it on. Even life-long fans can have highs and lows in the passion/commitment/interest they feel for their Club. I got pretty disillusioned in the mid 1980's and drifted away for a long time. Strangely enough I only felt drawn back to really supporting the club properly again after the Premiership years came to an end. can't say why really - other things going on in my life I guess. Good luck to Reams, whatever he decides to do.
The weird thing is that he has had plenty of chances to set up and run a credible Charlton forum. CL /CARD / VOTV are not every Charlton fan’s cup of tea, and had he used a bit of guile & consistency he could have rivalled them. Instead ....
I realise there were bound to be a few apologists along the way....that I can, with reluctance, accept. However what I think has shocked us all is the spiteful piss ridden ridiculing of fellow Addicks in their varying efforts and ideas in getting our message across. The bile on ITTV has been nothing short of treachery and hatred led by that horrible bastard who has collected a small rag tag collection of mostly banned posters from CL who as a result collectively have an agenda against just about all Addicks. It’s a home for bitterness and disaffected posters from other boards who wouldn’t be accepted elsewhere.....and Reams has royaly pandered to them and in nailing his sail to the mast has become the most hated fan (certainly in my lifetime), known at The Valley, something that seems not to bother him in the slightest, were that me, I would die of shame and be utterly devastated and I’m sure any of us would feel the same.
No genuine, self respecting Charlton fan would accept a free brass razoo from Duchatelet . Reams is in the same bracket as Sue Parkes.
Ivor overstepped the mark last week on ITTV when be branded you a “pint sized w*anker” The pint sized bit was out of order.
They aren't all hate-mongers on ITTV though. There are three or four very unpleasant characters who encourage each other and get 'likes' from a handful of others who seem to admire their spitefulness, perhaps mistaking it for strength. But I seem to recall there are some moderate voices too, even towards the pro-Duchatelet end of the spectrum.
You saw that when How Bizarre started baiting them. What followed was like a scene from a George A Romero movie - Night Of The Living Apologist. A hideous sight as Essex Al, PL54, Andyb ,,,,,,,,,,, Jonkool & Jeddez broke off from daytime TV to quickly start trolling.
Maybe that kind of thing has got worse since I left. Shame really, some of them were likeable chaps I thought.
