Perhaps it needed a contract rebel to tell it like it is. You can bet Arsene couldn't and knowing his own high principles, wouldn't say anything. There are things at The Emirates that we don't know about and it is high time we knew a bit more. It may give us room to consider that Arsene as David Dein and others have suggested is really and truly, our best bet. Nasri is talking rubbish. Arsenal have made consistently high profits beside player trading since moving to the Emirates. It has been Wengers own 'only buy youth ' policy that has prevented him from spending on experienced player. Strange how it's taken an 8-2 drubbing to change his mind.
When we bought the greedy little **** i'm sure we were already playing at the Emirates. He's just trying to make excuses for the reason he left the club
Well guys I was referring more to his statement that Arsene was not to blame for some of the things that go on at the club. Others have been saying it too.
I can't say I agree with this at all. It is a possibility that Arsene is being held back by the board, but I said it before, Wenger has money to spend ... he just doesn't want to spend it. This is the second time in 3 years that Arsenal board members have stood up and said if Arsene wants to spend money there is money to spend. It is against his principles to pay over the odds for players, that much we know. Do you really think the board would stop Wenger buying the players he wants if he really wanted them ? When we bought Arshavin Wenger spent £16m more that season than any other season since he had been at Arsenal, he wanted the player - he needed the player, the board backed him. Now bare in mind 3 seasons ago our stadium debt was far greater than it is now, so if the club had the money then to give Wenger the money he needed, with smaller debts and a hefty bank balance from the sales of Clichy, Eboue, Fabregas and Nasri, there is NO WAY anyone can tell me there is not money for Wenger to spend if he wants to. The money has always been there, Wenger just wants to stick to his stupid but noble philosophy of development from within.
Wouldn't be too surprised of this was true but you have to remember that this is the guy who says the main reason he moved to man city was not money. Nasri will say anything to make himself look good.
