I refereed Tottenham v Chelsea in November 2006. Spurs won 2-1 and I sent John Terry off for two cautionable offences. After training the next day Terry, Ashley Cole and Frank Lampard claimed I had told them I would sort them out after their unacceptable behaviour in the midweek Champions League game against Barcelona. I was contacted by the FA to provide a statement in response and they then looked into whether I would be charged. I felt like the person on trial, even though I had done nothing wrong. My three colleagues in that game all confirmed that they had heard no such comments and the allegations were withdrawn. On the radio this morning they said something about Torres complaining about allegedly being called a "Spanish M word". Muppet, M*ng, Motherf*cker? Sound likes bollocks to me and being called Spanish isn't an insult anyway.

They said he used monkey which is "mico" in spanish, the 2 spanish speak players just heard the ref in his Newcastle accent call him Mikel when they thought they heard "Mico". Thats it, what a bunch of dumbasses. Its even possible they mistook Monkey for Mikel.

Not sure who I dislike more at the moment, Chelskum or Clattenburk. They are suited to each other, scumbags both.
This whole business has made me lose faith in my own judgement. Clattenberg has gone from being a muppet to a hero in a few days.
