Don't know if these are going to upload properly as I'm on my Dad's computer - hope you enjoy them. Red Devil coming in to land - The North Stand how it should be - packed! A surfeit of Smurfs - Champions! I can think of Centre Backs that'd give anything for legs like this -
Brilliant Pics Tewks thanks! I took my Camera but the battery was dead... And yes the trophy presentation and (lack of) lap of honour was a shame but the Events of yesterday will not be forgotten for a long long time! I found this pic on Facebook this morning, taken at Kings Cross.
Does anyone in the south stand know what was going on in the second half when it looked like a few smurfs were trying to get to some Charlton fans sat directly behind them?
Correct me if I'm wrong Tweaks but?...ehmm??... the piture of the singer??.... (and I'm sure it was your camera that did it)..??? .... but..... is the only part of that picture that is pin sharp in focus...ehhmm??...??...her arse??
No trouble in the Sputh Stand. We had a few directly above then who started few chants aimed at them. However I thought the banter was brilliant and I loved being back in that stand! Atmosphere was great in there!
It's the auto-focus that does it, AllHell - it fixes on the most prominent feature of the subject. The rest of the picture is blurred because I was trembling so much, being overcome with the emotion of the occasion...
Did you sit in Block Q, West Upper, Tewks? I remember you saying so a few weeks back. Well, I was keeping an eye out for you. But not knowing what you look like didn't really help much. Doh!
I was in Block W Upper West Ponders, and I almost found out what you look like ! Actually, after meeting Super and Forever on Saturday, proved that NOT606ers are normal (although they may not have the same opinion of me !!)
So you were pretty much on the halfway line, Stu? I have always had my season ticket nearer to the away end - front row job! There is that metal walkway in front, though, and that is where the Red Devils stood with their wives and kids. After about 45 seconds I told them to f**k off out of it. Did you have a pre-match drinky-poo with Forever and SuperC? Were all the tickets snapped up? I did notice a bloke in front of the Sam B statue trying to offload a handful at just £5 a pop (that sort of sounds rude). Some stewards moved him on in the end. Perhaps we can meet up next season, or at a pre-season friendly? Some say I look like Meatloaf. I say a young Robert Redford.
Yes Ponders, I was in Row R. I would have looked closer for you when I got in there, but being out of my usual block (M), I had to ask the steward where to go and he sent me to completely the wrong end of my row. I had to come back down the stairs and right round to the other side, against the flow of traffic, where I was sat right on the end of the row! It took ages. How he didn't know that goodness only knows. Very fortunate to sit on the end of the row as well, as I was sat next to a nutritionally challenged gentleman sitting with his legs at 90 degrees, so consequently I was sitting at an angle for the whole game. I was more fortunate that those a couple of rows in front though. A woman came back for the second half about five minutes late, so everybody dutifully got up and let her in - ten minutes later she got up again and everyone let her out, then she came back with two hot dogs and disturbed everyone again. Ye gods. It was a decent view there, better than I thought it was going to be and excellent for observing the Smurfs at close quarters. Definitely the stars of the show IMO.
