So I was doing my Sunday morning read over on Ja606, when I came across an article titled "our midfield is bloody awful" by LIW So I start reading, now I'm used to reading negative stuff from the Dreary Crew, but once one of them stated: "Austin - unproven and often seems clueless. Other times looks the part - we need consistency" AND Shows how bad rest of team is when some fans tout Austin as a bright light!! I thought to myself, what is wrong with some people? It's almost as if they have a personal axe to grind with the club. Austin has been a revaluation since arriving, and is nothing shirt of our most important player thus far. Only the other day one I the other members of the dreary crew called Ovid, was exposed as having duplicate accounts which both commented on the same articles!! The board has really changed over there and it's not fun anymore! Those who support the team are branded "rose tinted glasses wearing dum dums" and those who are critical do so without evidence to back up their claim, so when you do challenge them you get abused! WTF?!? On a side note this is my first time posting here, never really gave it a go as I felt loyal to the old layout but content over quality wins every time.
Welcome to the forum GB How many other teams would Austin make it into? (genuine question)... While I agree he is a decent player and a very good player for us is this a reflection of how GREAT he is or how POOR those around him are?
genuine,think he would get in any champ team and a few prem.light years ahead of the likes of Johnson Norwich. ps GB if we were 2nd in the prem liw would still be complaining.
Keep away from Ja606 its full of moaners and wums. LIW, Chorley,Youngwhite all they do is whine. Worst set of so called supporters you will ever come across.
Neil wanted to buy him for his QPR team when he had millions to spend. That aside AUstin would make it into any side in this league. He is playing in a poor midfield and standing out, this is the very least he can do. Yesterday before he got wrongly booked, he bossed that midfield! In every game bar the Blackpool game he has been excellent. What can he do?: he can shoot accurately from long distance, he is deceptively fast, he can tackle just a little bit, good in the air, he has brilliant positional sense, his teamwork is second to none, he is a powerhouse, he looks for better options for the pass however but only when he has good movers ahead of him, roscoe going just showed this, if you watch the Lutv replay you will see that his long balls to BEcchio were on a sixpence yet Becks was out hustled by their CB everytime! Playing in a bad team makes decent players look good, however he clearly is a premiership player.
I have huge respect for LIW he doesn't beat around the bush and says exactly what he's thinking and in a way I agree with what he is saying Austin isn't technically a good footballer however he's frigging brilliant at breaking up play and basically scaring opponents. Thombom just cos you don't agree with something people say it doesn't make the "so called supporters" LIW follows Leeds united more than most if we didn't have differences in opinion these sites would be pointless OP welcome to the site hope you stick around I do enjoy this a lot more than ja606
Welcome to not606, OP I would stay away from ja606, I for one am praying it stays open and some of the "contributors" there don't ever find the need to give us their opinions here. There are some (well, a few) good contributors there (Jonty, Walsall White, come to mind) but most of them, heaven help us. Its not they have disagreements, there are plenty of those here, its partly the totally dumb opinions thst get expressed as if they are uncontrovertible, and then partly the attitude that anyone of a different view is equivalent to something you scrape off the sole of your shoe on a bad day. Fortunately I took the p*** there and got banned, so I no longer get tempted to post there.
should add though, LIW not the worst by a mile - tends to be straightforward, so you might not agree with him but otherwise hes ok
Welcome to the site pal Whenever I have spoken to LiW, he has pissed me off. May be 'straightforward' as you put it but if you disagree with the guy he just starts abusing. I suppose it doesn't piss me off a such it just means you can't have a serious debate about things. From the odd occasion I have been on to Ja606, it seems like most of them are like that. Back to Austin, I wouldn't say he is a prem player as he is unproven at that level but early signs from his Leeds career he would get into almost every team in the champ and the only reason I am not saying every team is because I don't have a great knowledge on ALL of the players in this league. Great player and I just wish we could get Norris back and buy some wingers to complete that midfield. Unfortunately thats not gonna happen of course

If that is true then it's a matter of time before a PL clubs is knocking on the door. Johnson has been immense this season btw (except Fulham away where they were all crap), maturing and adapting very, very well I know many of you guys will not or do not want to believe that but he is coming on in leaps and bounds.

I had Jonty as one of the drearies, however since following him on twitter he is surprisingly pretty inspirational! LIW whilst he is no literary scholar nor the most consistent at backing up his views, you cannot doubt his passion and devotion to the club so he is an asset to our fanbase. Who are the guys to watch out for on here? Has Ovidthetortoise joined yet now he has been outed?
Ovidthetortoise ???, not had the pleasure . Yer need to watch out for the Millwal lads, their board is quiet, so they tend to use this place as their second home, they're harmless, and dare I say it, easy to get along with. The Hull massive seem to have a ploblem with us, but I think that has something to do with us beating em twice last season 4-1, and 4-1 (though one of those was a reserve game)
I don't mind that they whinge, or are 'drearies', which makes them 'so-called supporters' in some people's eyes (what a stupid and annoying cliche THAT is, by the way). I do mind that they are, almost without exception, clinically insane LUST haters with the spelling abilities of Schlitzie the pinhead.
While still on the anti JA kick ..... its the use of sneering terms there like "drearies" and "simpering" - on JA606 both of which just mean "people who I disagree with", thats really puts me off JA606. Please lets not start that here. If someone wants to say to me (as they did recently, here) "don't bother with all that Bates Out crap" then just say it (as they did ), don't tell me I am a simpering dreary, or whatever - no, I'm not, I am someone who has maybe a slightly different take on things than you, thats all.
It's basically the internet's equivalent of the remedial overflow class where all the kids with substandard IQs, hyperactivity disorders and behavioural problems are all sent so they can cancel each other out in a huge room of mental abnormality (with some rather outdated 1990s furniture and that ****tard Eric Onion as the special needs teacher). Just steer clear of it.
