here is some of Gedo's goals with al Ahly some notes: 1- in the first goal in this video the over was done by Fathy to Gedo. 2- did you notice that we pronounce Gedo as Geddo with double D, yes it is the right pronounciation Geddo not Gedo even it is Written with only one D.
Yeah, people here tend to make up their own pronunciations for names. We've had (to name a few); Kammel Zayattee, Martin Pusik, Eldin Yakupovik, Tijanee Belled and now we have Gaydo. When he scored on Saturday it just sounded like 15,000 fans were gay bashing him
Aluko is the one that annoys me nowadays. I'm sure it was Sone when he was at Rangers now it's either Shonny or ****ing Shaunie.
The supposedly educated David Burns is partly to blame for mispronunciations, I bet he still calls Proschwitz Prosvitch like he is a Russian. I don't really listen now when not at games find the BBC text better than him and LikeI say Swan Leeds fan
Gedo certainly strikes a ball well but he puts it too near to the keeper for my liking, so we're still on the hunt for a proper striker. McLean is the best we have at the club at aiming for the corners I'd recall him.
You are taking the piss? BBC text - Gedo scores to the bottom right corner of the goal from inside the area. What really happened - Gedo does an overhead kick from the edge of the box on the byline with wicked Ronaldo-esque curl on it which takes the ball round the keeper, hits the far post then bounces back onto the near post and into the net. BBC text - Corry Evans booked for unsporting behaviour. What really happened - Evans does a flying scissor kick into an opponents face, breaking their jaw and leaving them in an unconcious heap on the floor. BBC Sport - Alex Bruce takes a shot, saved by the keeper. What really happened - Bruce tries to pass to the centerback next to him, but the ball ends up down the other side of the pitch and the enemy keeper picks it up as it trickles to a stop infront of his feet. You really get absolutely no grasp of what's happening via those text updates. Not to mention the BBC 'live scores' site is between 5 to 10 minutes behind play.
