The parents of inspirational footie fan Bradley Lowery have celebrated the birth of a ‘beautiful’ baby daughter.

Little Bradley captured the hearts of the nation with his brave battle with cancer before his tragic death four years ago.

The Sunderland fan struck up a close friendship with striker Jermaine Defoe after he was diagnosed with neuroblastoma at just 18 months old, a rare cancer that mainly affects babies and young children.

He tragically passed away in 2017 and his parents Gemma and Carl set up a foundation in his name to raise funds and awareness to help and support other children.

Little Gracie-Mae Lowery was born via emergency c-section at Sunderland Royal Hospital at 12.19am on Saturday morning, the couple announced.

Good news for them, but I was half expecting this thread to be about the imminent sacking of Lee Johnson.
