A couple of stories to warm the cockles........ ‘Not bothered’: Manager reacts to Nottingham Forest’s interest in £20m ace https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2022/02/...ts-to-nottingham-forests-interest-in-20m-ace/ Everton and Leicester in transfer chase for Bristol City player https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/e...in-transfer-chase-for-bristol-city-youngster/ https://www.footballinsider247.com/...-sights-on-alex-scott-after-transfer-mission/
They are all better playing here for another couple of seasons and learn their trade - plus Nige hopefully will have his side together and his hands untied from behind his back. Then they can see where we are as a football club and if we are fighting for a prem spot.
Will you stop banging on about hands tied behind his back... It's the same for most clubs in this division, don't tell me Luton, QPR, PNE, Blackpool etc have more money than us. Time to stop using COVID as an excuse and start using that experience and knowledge that got him the job.
I can understand PL clubs being interested, but Forest seems a bit weird, how are they going to be able to offer anywhere near what we’d want. I don’t get that.
How do you work that out, he’s already our player?, more like they saw our accounts and thought they’d try to get him on the cheap.
WHEN YOU ARE WINNING GAMES and near the top of the division to some it pays to gamble on beating FFP.... the biggest cheats for years DERBY, are looking to maintain Championship status next season. Looks to be just 4 teams stuck in the mire with Derbya team theoreticcally in 15th position! Reading finally in their true position! FLOREST now 6th have 3 teams who on the level could be above them .....
I understand all of that, but that doesn’t explain the thinking behind a Semenyo bid, they are never going to get anywhere near our valuation of him, I understand they thought due to our financial position we may need to sale, but PL clubs would step in if we were desperate to recoup some money. Forest have done well recently, but unless they go up, unless I’m missing something, they will be in a similar position to us next year financially.

Sign of the times. Ex-Bristol City playmaker Lee Tomlin training with non-league side as he bids to find new club Lee Tomlin has been without a club since he was released by Cardiff City in October https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/bristol-city-lee-tomlin-nonleague-6636520
The only thing missing was goals, I thought once he scored and gained confidence he’d move to the next level as he has all the qualities needed to become a quality player. Scoring a tap in last game was the next step, this will make him realise goals don’t have to be worldies , if he can add this to his game the skies the limit, it’s exciting watching him play and develop. We’ll done Antoine.
He’s got loads of ability, but unfortunately he has his demons too. It’s a shame because he could be a top player.

Wasn't rocket science that before too long, Prem clubs would be interested...Can't see us being able to hang on to him when they decide to make a move.....and who could blame him!!
Who could blame any of the players that we have sold to bigger clubs for huge wage increases. Will this be classed as being sold from beneath the manager?
Yes, if we were looking to put any sort of challenge towards the Prem......otherwise, may as well off load and then blame the manager for lack of success!!
