Below are some comments from fans that went yesterday, not like us speculating on a game that we never saw only seen snippets and listened to the radio, was going to paste the link to OTIB but once again it turned into a bitching competition.

"I was originally suprised by the team selection chosen, I didn't have much of an idea what formation we were* playing and how we were going to play, our website says it was a 5-4-1 Mick McCarthy*said it was a 3-6-1.*I guess this is why McInnes is the football manager.
*** We looked really positive and it's one of the best performances this season, I especially liked us pressing high up the pitch forcing Ipswich to play long ball to DJ Campbell, very effective.
*** *I might be wrong but I think the hardcore of City fans going away has and affect on the teams morale and performance. When at home they are constatly being screamed and shouted at by negative fans, away it's only the hardcore that are really behind the team.
    ***** Anyway, very pleased."

"Was a pretty good atmosphere there today! Just got back myself, and it was actually quite a good game that we probably deserved to win, and would have bar some great saves from Henderson!

Listening to the radio after Mick pretty much admitted to being beaten on tactics by del. Those of that say Del doesnt know what hes doing may have been proven wrong a little today, that formation worked quite well."

I'd like to say that the McInnes doubters should really start thinking before saying he knows nothing about tactics just because he has said he prefers 4-4-2.
He did not play top class football in three countries and pass all his coaching badges without having a comprehensive knowledge of team formations and tactics to nullify opposition threats.

He out-thought Mick MacCarthy yesterday, as simple as that. And if we had taken only one of the several chances that we created, then it would have been three points.

And just to confirm that the above comments, while able to draw on first hand visual evidence, reflect how I felt after listening to the game on radio and seeing the one or two minutes at well past midnight.
Again, well played City. Now let's get the home form moving in the right direction.

Remember we beat Cardiff and palace? 1 results means nothing when you manager to lose 7 on the trot. We haven't progressed one bit uner del boy and a point against one of the worse side in our league wont change my mind about him. Win 7 games on the trot then yeah he knows what he's doing. Lose 7 then he hasn't got a clue

But Ipswich had won three and drawn one of the last four home games. If that is a terrible side, then what are we at home?

Pretty obvious that we're a bloody sight worse.

And why we're joint bottom of the Championship.

Yet we go there and get a very creditable draw. And reading between the lines of Mick McCarthy's interview, even he felt we should have won. So maybe, just maybe, we are not as bad as we seem to be. A New Year will bring our revival.

Been told I put few people off threads about my negativity, but I agree with Redprintt I'm happy del got his tactics right, a 1-1 draw away from home any level is good. But don't let it cover the bigger picture, we will more then likely lose agains watford, meaning we're back to square -1 since we're at square 1 now.

Watford are a good 'footballing' side - they play in the style of their manager. And they have pulled off some great results in the last 2 months and deserve to be where they are. Beating them wont be easy, and getting a draw will be a decent result in my opinion. But we really must get the first goal (if there is one). Always being on the back-foot after conceding first must be hard work for the players and the manager. All the planning Derek does before the game and then boom, we concede, and now we have to start chasing the game and maybe formations and players. 0-0 at halftime would be a good start, if we cant score.

I'd sooner see it 1-1 and they had scored first!
