I'd like to say that the McInnes doubters should really start thinking before saying he knows nothing about tactics just because he has said he prefers 4-4-2. He did not play top class football in three countries and pass all his coaching badges without having a comprehensive knowledge of team formations and tactics to nullify opposition threats. He out-thought Mick MacCarthy yesterday, as simple as that. And if we had taken only one of the several chances that we created, then it would have been three points. Been told I put few people off threads about my negativity, but I agree with Redprintt I'm happy del got his tactics right, a 1-1 draw away from home any level is good. Watford are a good 'footballing' side - they play in the style of their manager. And they have pulled off some great results in the last 2 months and deserve to be where they are. Beating them wont be easy, and getting a draw will be a decent result in my opinion. But we really must get the first goal (if there is one). Always being on the back-foot after conceding first must be hard work for the players and the manager. All the planning Derek does before the game and then boom, we concede, and now we have to start chasing the game and maybe formations and players. 0-0 at halftime would be a good start, if we cant score.
