He is an absolute hero in my eyes. One of the biggest legends to don the black and white! I will try my best to get a ticket for the testimonial.

Absolute legend and despite having some publicised off-field problems was always an awesome professional. A man who played football like he was still down the park with his mates, seemed to have such a good time whenever he was out there playing for us. Definitely up there with the Ginola and co in terms of pure talent, definitely one of the best players I've ever seen play for NUFC. Best thing is he stuck around, and loves us as much as we love him.

I will definitely be attending that testemonial.

EDIT: Also I LOL'd when he said his mam is called Janet.

Wonder who the opposition will be? South American XI - get Messi on board!

  9. Shearer should agree to play in that, along with Robert, Given and all the old lads.

Him and Robert down the wings again! I'd pay real money to see that, even at their age

All the Sir Bobby team playing would be great! Other than Dyer, he'll be injured.

My favourite ever player, not just because of his quality but because of his personality. He also dispelled the theory that you have to be a 6 foot 5 monster to compete in the prem, Nobby is built like a twig, but he tore teams apart. Brilliant player.

I'd love to see a 'best of' play with Nobby in his testimonial

Players like Given, Hughes, Dabizas, Woodgate, Bernard, Solano, Robert, Lee, Speed, Shearer would be a fantastic Newcastle XI (well a newcastle X, since I can't think of another striker who played with solano who was any good (except for bellamy, but the **** probably wouldnt do it))

Hope he gives the money to charity, though I did hear he was in financial trouble which is really sad.
