Now before the likes of the tedius' Jeff ranger' jumps in with his little digs( from a little man im told) why does Mr Campbell n co demand a non white is interviewed for every manager/ coach roll that becomes available? Surely it should be based on suitability and not colour?.... we have gone down this road and I suspect!

Facta, the reason other posters have a "dig" as you put it is because you usually start a thread and then say nothing of interest, the Sidiq Khan thread as an example. If you want to start copious threads at least make them interesting that gives other posters something to talk about, as sb_73 said "add content" and for future reference any non QPR threads should be prefixed "Off Topic".:emoticon-0148-yes:

BTW your dig at Jeff Ranger is uncalled for......

I take it now that you've read the link that sku posted that you agree with it......

Your constant digging at QPR fans is well known..Digging at Jeff every time you can is unwarranted...
The "snobbery on this site is well known".... for example yesterdays dig at me being "More Glyndbourne than Glastonbury", could not have been further from the mark, as demonstrated on that thread...Snobbery is not one of our traits here...sorry to disppoint you Facto

Your comment "but many parts which is why qor hated by many other clubs fans!.."...not sure who qor is but I don't think we hate them here, you might ...BUT if you mean us (but I cannot get Not606 and qor linked at all, spellcheck??)....then please go away, and go back to Fantasy Island...oh no! you can't because you are banned from there (well that is what Ted tells me anyway).

Unfortunately as Mods...Tramore, 999s and I cannot put you on ignore...so we will be watching you ...

Sorry Facto I cannot agree with that. This site has a diverse range of posters. Posters of all ages/gender/Nationalities who bring a wealth of knowledge to the discussions about QPR. One poster on here I never seem to agree with but articulates well thought out arguments that are always worth reading. That is what Not606 is about. We have good/honest mods (i expect a beer for that) who give up free time to make sure the site runs properly. I have read posts from mods on other sites that seem to be worse than some of the idiot members that post, so...
If people see us as snobs, then it shows their mentality or lack of intelligence. I would rather be a snob than be associated with some other sites.
We are a fair site and a good site. I have liked some of your posts in the past because i have agreed with your comments but sorry on this occasion i cannot agree.

This all comes down to trying to level the playing field, something Sol Campbell obviously feels isn't happening in football today.

I used to get a lot of this back in the equal ops training days. "Why isn't there a White history month?" was the usual.

If you are from a minority ethnic background, like Mr Campbell, and you look around and see lots and lots of white coaches and managers there is every chance that you feel unrepresented. Fact is most interviews at football clubs would be held by white folks and the majority of candidates that get interviewed would be white folks too. Is it any wonder then that there aren't many black managers? Foreign managers don't appear to have a problem. I bet we could name more overseas managers than black ones.

Most of the "what about rights for whites?" brigade were intolerable bigots and racists, not all but most. Being black doesn't make you a great manager though, something we have had first hand experience of at QPR. I was quite chuffed that we gave the job to Ramsey at the time, just a shame he wasn't much use at anything other than handing the bibs and cones out. His inability to manage well had nothing to do with his colour but at least he was given a fair crack at it, something not many other clubs have done.

I wish we hadn't because Ramsey was useless. I don't care about colour, i care about getting the right man for the job. Ramsey was simply not good enough and that cost us the season. Something QPR should think about when employing personnel

Ramsey was a coach before becoming manager. He wanted to see if he could do the job and we were the club that gave him the opportunity. It didn't work, however we have got a decent centre half from his Spurs days - maybe coaching is his limit? We all have ideas, hopes and dreams and not always given opportunity to go with them and if any of us were given Ramsey's opportunity (regardless of the colour of our skin) we would have all jumped at the chance.

I don't think it cost us the season - I think the FFP hanging over our heads cost us plus whomever came in would have been tasked with removing deadwood. I think it would have been a difficult job whoever took on this season (well for the 3 managers we have had in the 9 month season).

The fact is blacks should be treated the same as anyone else , if they're good for the job give them the job, if they're not, tough.
