His playing career is coming to an end. Some of his performances for us were poor, but you cannot deny this guy was great in his prime. He also has an incredible amount of knowledge of the game.

Perhaps when he retires, we could sign him as a defensive coach? It'd benifit players like Kadar and Tavernier, who are good young players, but still have alot to learn. Tavernier especially, has impressed me when he's played.

He signed for us mainly because his wife's a geordie, and he thought it would be convenient. Perhaps this job would also appeal to him? I can't see a down side to it, and i can't really think of anyone better?

I'd be very happy for him to stay at NUFC in a coaching role.

No one can deny that he's been a stalwart defender throughout his career and he's got a plethora of experience to pass onto the younger players.

I also thought Butt would have been beneficial to have around in a coaching capacity.

Has he done any coaching badges????

Good shout though, think are defence has got a bit lax in the last few weeks.
Campbell coaching the younger lads and sharing his defence experience and knowledge could be very benefical
