With the seeming absence of Hull and Leeds fans, perhaps we will be able to have a civilised conversation.
I am obviously not the first to suggest trial of Sol Bamba in midfield, but we need someone to pull the strings, someone who will make a little run, pick that pass and contribute largely to attack and defense. Sol has a very offensive attitude (not literally!) for a defender, and is suprising he is yet to score, bu that would leave a spare CB position (Aleksander Tunchev or Sean St Ledger) or a new signing (if we were to sign a new CB, I would not mind it Charlie Mulgrew), but obviously if Sol Bamba is sucessful in midfield would a new signing be necessary, but I think we should trial Sol 'Bombscare' Bamba at CM against Portsmouth.

P.S. would PA stop playing Dominic the Italian Christmas Donkey!

I simply don't think you can trust his decision making to play him in the middle of the park, just my opinion.

maybe in a game that is already won with time to go- at the moment he is simply too important at the back to take him away

Think it would be a great move, been saying the same for along time! We have Tunch now fit with Mills and St Ledger at the back.
imo Bamba would be a revelation in midfield good in the tackle powerful going forward great strength and would get the other players
involved. The opposing teams love playing against our powder puff midfield at the moment! Bamba would change all that!

I'd rather he made the wrong call in midfield than as the last man in defence, like the setup for their goal, neither him or Abe went for the header that lead to their goal.

I think he would be a great deep lying midfielder, hes proved that he does actually have the skill to keep the ball at his feet, even under pressure.

Yes his runs are blinding, yes hes entertaining to watch, but please please lets have him somewhere where no damage can be done if he f**ks it up. I'd much rather see Mills and Tunch/St Ledger at the back tbh, players who will have each others backs and wont stray out of position given the oppertunity.

I think it would work with Bamba in midfield

We could play 4-1-3-2 with Tunchev at the back with Mills

And clearly we have no width at the minute we could play King, Wellens and Gallagher in the 3 and they would have to worry about the defensive side with Bamba sitting back
