In the final weeks of the season we had fans from across the country wishing us luck in gaining promotion. In this many stated they have always had a soft spot for saints.

Simply enough - what teams do you have a soft spot for and why?

Carlisle. Never been there, probably never will (unless I tire driving up to Scottyland) but the respect and friendliness from their fans at Wembley for the JPT Final was class. I remember chatting to a few who stayed behind to watch the trophy etc and they said what an amazing day it had been even though they were on the wrong end of a humping.

None, and then Some. It depends upon my mood really. They will always be underdog teams, I'm not one for chasing the glamour clubs, so an example would be Torquay Utd. Another would be Airdrie Utd. I'm not in a good enough mood to mention any more.

Wouldn't fancy being a Carlisle fan if they were on the wrong end of a 'Humping'.

Have a long list of teams I'm interested in for various (and some forgotten) reasons, but I also went for Carlisle mainly for when they stayed up because of Glass's late goal. Always have looked out for them ever since. Their fans were great at the JPT.

All sport is a form of ritualised combat. Supporters are armies, the players are our champions.

Newcastle - many friends who are fans, and I have a lot of respect for that fanbase when they posted attendance figures in the Championship better than all but a handful of Premiership sides.

AFC Wimbleton - obvious reasons; would love to see them blow by MK Dons and get back to one of the upper tiers.

Crewe - their player development record is stellar.

Luton Town - too rich of a history to be non-league.

East Stirling - No one else is gonna support them and would like to see them not finish bottom for a change!

If watching on TV I almost always do the British thing and plump for the underdog. So on Sunday, I'm supporting QPR and Sunderland.

    That said - Exeter.

Exeter and Carlisle are in there for me. Scunthorpe for giving us Nigel. I like MK Dons, sue me.
