    Brief points from SOD's laments...

    * The head coach, who substituted both Jay Emmanuel-Thomas and Sam Baldock to ensure his side returned south with a point, admitted he would have gladly accepted any kind of result to kick-start City’s season.

    * I didn’t feel either side really deserved to win it.

    * “Scott is distraught in the dressing room about the penalty, and it’s the kind of disappointment we've had to get used to lately

    * “He’s a professional footballer, he’s made a mistake and it’s cost us.

    * The clean sheets are more important at the minute than the goals we score.

    * “With ten minutes to go I had a decision to make, do we try and win it or do we try and not get beat? Those are the difficult decisions to make.

    * “It was probably the first game the front two haven’t really functioned, so we just tried to shut up shop.

    * “They ran out of ideas and we looked dangerous on the break. On the face of it, it was a good ploy.

    * “But we make one mistake and get punished, which has been the story of our season.”

    These are just bullet points.....

    I agree to some extent that clean sheets are more important than goals at the moment. At the start of the season we were easily scoring goals, and you do hope they will find that kind of form again. But aiming for clean sheets without getting a goal first doesn't win you football games, and winning is what is gonna keep SOD his job, and winning is what gets us out of the bottom 4!
