SO'D: "Scott Wagstaff hasn't trained. He took quite a whack; it split his boot. We're confident he'll be ok." SO'D: "We've an option (in defence) with Aden Flint back available again." SO'D: "We've created chances in the week. If we want to change the striking dynamic then we have to make sure it works." SO'D: "Carlisle had a good result in the week against an MK Dons side who we're missing key players. SO'D: "It's hell of a journey. It's a badge of honour; we can't fault the support. The numbers are terrific." SO'D: "A result on Saturday would give everyone a shot in the arm. A real boost."
Usual vanilla nonsense I'd like to hear something like, the players are on pain of death to come home from Carlisle with anything less than 3 points !
I couldn't give a **** about his demeanor. We're paying him to manage, not come up with snappy 140 character quotes for the chump they've got following him to get tweet content. If you guys want a bit of character to your Twitter feeds, then get Not Big Sam to be the next manager of Bristol City.
I hope and pray we get a win, as I can't stand seeing the club at the bottom of the table and worse, becoming adrift of the top 20! But no, a win against what is a sh!te Carlisle side, who have a thug prat in charge will not be enough to boost my hopes of anything. 5 wins on the trot, or even 4 out 5 wins, and yeah, it'll raise my eyebrow and I'll think "Hmmm we could be turning it round here" but until then, he can feck off with his drivel, and just ignore the media and press and social networking side of the job altogether until he has got it right on the pitch!
When a team is bottom of the league the manager's comments will always be able to be criticised. He's said more or less what you would expect any manager to say here.
Don't find excuses for him, he should be doing what all managers are paid to do and that is win games. When managers are judged solely by what they say in news conferences and tweets then the footballing world will have totally gone to the dogs. Tweet Schmeet fly away home.
I am not finding excuses for him mike, Not Big Sam is a piss take. I agree that the talking needs to be done on the pitch but I dont think results are the most important thing to the board, getting the finances straight are their priority. And if L2 football comes with it they will adjust the finances again.
You don't get results, you don't get fans through the gates, which means the finance suffers even more. I want us to do something with the players we have now, I don't really see the point in getting new ones, as I can't remember the last time I saw an inspiring signing that has been consistently good for us
