    * Bristol City vice chairman Jon Lansdown is adamant he and his fellow directors will not yield to fan pressure to sack head coach Sean O’Driscoll.

    * “Our strategy won’t change, but we have to avoid relegation at all costs and that means having the flexibility to react to changing situations,” said Lansdown.

I'm glad that he's come out to say something, but given the board's record I think SOD is probably on borrowed time.

It's a shame, because SOD is a likeable guy. I'm afraid we'd seen so little of Jon Lansdown to say the same about him. He really needs to start making the effort that SOD has done to engage with the fans.

If history is anything to go by, any sacking will be a snap decision. McInnes was sacked a day after being allowed to spend club money on a new signing.

I want to know where they get the impression that fans want him sacked, and that there is fan pressure to do so???

I sit behind some pretty vitriolic fans and even they don't shout out loud that he has to go... So unless they read forums, which if they do I want to know why they don't have more important things to do. Then where are they getting that fans want him sacked, unless its already on their minds?

I'd say 80% of fans are still behind SOD, personally I'm not one of them, but why would they bother to bring up the 20% of fans they do think would want him out, surely they are too insignificant in number to warrant commenting on. This spells bull carp to me!

Even an idiot will know that there is a growing unrest and dissatisfaction amongst supporters with the results and lack of investment in the team. Now where did that £2m for Albert and Davies go again ??

Interesting to see that they mention relegation and the board will be all too aware of the recent demise of Martin Allen and David Weir after just 10 games.

The next 6 games coming up ought to see us get a return of at least 13 points given the indifferent opposition, but I reckon if we get less than 10 points and are still in the bottom 4 then the board will have to act and get shot of SOD as that will be over 1/3rd of the season gone.

    From the BBC

Bristol City vice chairman Jon Lansdown tells BBC Radio Bristol the club will stand by their strategy of running a financially-sustainable club.

Lansdown's billionaire father, Stephen, has spent an estimated £50m on the Ashton Gate outfit but they were unable to avoid relegation from the Championship last season.

They are without a win in League One this term but Lansdown insists they will not be spending money to improve their situation.

Very very disappointing, and we'd all better hope what we have in terms of our current players are capable of winning around 15 of the remaining 36 games then in order to keep us in L1 if this is to be believed. Or is this part of the dreaded vote of confidence ?
