Bristol City head coach Sean O'Driscoll tells BBC Points West his side should be wary of facing Bradford on the opening day of the season as they will have "momentum" from their promotion last term.

I hope he's not getting ready with a list of excuses to trot out like his predecessors.

Yes, Bradford had a decent end to the season and did very well indeed to reach the LC Final, but we're not facing Chelsea tomorrow and Bradfords form was very hit and miss at times last seasom...

You'd have to be a ****ing idiot to not take FA Cup finalists seriously. What Bradford City achieved last season was nothing short of magical, and although they lost in the final, that experience will make them a dark horse in League 1. A part of me actually believes that they could be near the top come the end of the season.

They're absolutely at our level, and on a good day they'll probably be more than capable of beating us.

And if their form is a hit at AG we could be in for a tough match however Last week proir to Kelly being injured Davies and Adomah leaving I was confident of a win now it's at best 50/50.

i agree how dangerous they could be this season, like us when we when up to the championship. The first season the clubs on a high, they play without fear and all the clubs and grounds ( normally bigger and better) make them play even more, they wont care who or where they are playing, this only sets in during " season two syndrome" when the novelty and excitment wears off and the other teams now know who they are and how they play, so beware the promoted teams!!!

A slow start would not be a surprise and after last year, maybe a few weeeks of level setting would be good. After batterring cardiff & Palace at home last year, our tails were high and then the wheels fell off. This team will take several weeks to really start clicking, so a bit of patience will be required. The season is a marathon and even a slow start does not stop us from having a good one.
