Social - Kalahari Dahlia Update

    At 1.30am this morning our home bred brood mare produced her second foal - a chestnut filly with white blaze. Mare and foal are happy. Foal has found the milk and has already had a "canter" round the stable. Looks like a big girl. Just come in to have a quick bite and cuppa. Will take some pics later.

    We have to think of a name beginning with "D". Favourite at the moment is Dahlia (after the great race mare, who I saw at Ascot and was by one of my all time favourites, Vaguely Noble).

    PS. Just having a cup of tea and sausage rolls and I believe one of the other mares might be starting labour. This will be her first foal and won't be so easy. Hope to have a happy update later.

    Congrats, Ron. Dahlia is a great choice. Maybe "Dapple" isn't bad either.

    If you drop down to the Dams side of Dahlia's breeding you will see that the Dam, Charming Alibi by is out of Adorada and Honeys Alibi...

    Just a thought... Drop the A, and join up with the Honey...
