For those that are interested, our baby (Arko's Annabella) started training yesterday. She has never been alone, or on a horse box, or seen any sort of jump. So, for her first trip in a horse box we took her 25year old friend for company to an indoor school just 5mins down the road. Amazingly, it was our 19month old baby that was the calming influence; and this of a pony that has competed all over the UK and Europe. We free schooled Annabella on her own and she was better than we could have expected. Today we took Annabella by herself and she was brilliant loading, travelling and jumping. Only 3 days of training we are over the moon with her. She's very intelligent. Has already learned to shorten her stride for varying distances. Goes on and off the box on her own like an old hand.
