After what he has done, I don't think Arsenal will be risking it with a 130K weekly contract.

He simply has to put the performance of his lifetime in order to command hefty fees next year when he leaves on free transfer.

Arsenal benefits both ways - they get RVP to perform at the top of his game next season and maybe exhaust him a little (no need to rest him too much) and then he can leave on free if he wants too after we win the title :)

I don't know wether this is going against the grain but I couldn't really give a toss about him anymore. The guy had one good season for us and suddenly became Pele. He has shown nothing but total disrespect for the club and the fans. In my opinion we have to move him on, unless he is willing to grovel! We dont need a bad apple at the club. 20m and good riddance!

It's not like he played much in the other seasons when we didn't win silverware. So 1 good season without winning something and he uses this as an excuse? Agreed, with Birdy.

I've got little to no respect to RVP, I detest players who disrespect the club especially those who have performed at an average level for so long then have one great year, and even more for players who have spent approx 2 years of their 8 years at the club on the slab injured.
I'm intrigued what reception he gets in 11 days time, I think AW is taking one hell of a gamble in not getting rid purely for the impact his presence has around the club and what negativity could come from the terraces.
Also the players who have Arsenal blood in their veins such as Frimpong and Wilshere won't take kindly to the criticism RVP levied at the club, we're on a high now and for the first time in years we're showing average players the door and signing quality, we know the chequebook clubs will always have an advantage but if AW can get the new players to gel we can be a real threat to everyone.

The criticism was warranted; using it as an excuse to engineer a hassle free move wasn't.

To be fair, he's hardly been average. he's scored over 100 goals for us. I don't want him to stay now, but you have to give some credit.

I'll cheer RVP if he plays against Sunderland simply because he'll be wearing a red shirt but personally i think we should get rid of him ASAP

If he stay we will have an amazing front line probably the 2nd best in the league after City.

RVP, Podolski, Giroud = Great Options and different types of players.

The difference between the RVP situation and Rooney is that he doesnt have Gooners outside his house with banners claiming his family will be killed if he leaves us. I may be wrong but I think that played a part in his decision to stick with United.

If he stays we will have a better attack than City IMO.
RVP, Podolski, Giroud, Walcott, Gervinho, Cazorla. Pace, power, aggression, technical skills, aerial ability, finishing....

I think you're edging on the delirious there.

Aguero, Tevez, Dzeko, Balotelli, Na$ri, Silva, Johnson, Toure.

    Much better than ours.

However it will be a lot closer to them this year. The end of season table will ultimately tell the story.

Hmmm I don't think I'm being unreasonable... Balo, Johnson and Nasri are overrated for a start. If not better than theirs, certainly very close to theirs. Just my opinion though.
