Always like going up theere. 4500 of us should make the trip and we should get a good atmosphere for the first game. One thing that concerns me about the fixtures is that we have a very tough run in... 2012/13 Barclays Premier League fixtures in full: Sat Aug 18 Wigan Athletic A Sat Aug 25 Newcastle United H Sat Sep 1 Reading H [to be rearranged due to our participation in the European Super Cup] Sat Sep 15 Queens Park Rangers A Sat Sep 22 Stoke City H Sat Sep 29 Arsenal A Sat Oct 6 Norwich City H Sat Oct 20 Tottenham Hotspur A Sat Oct 27 Manchester United H Sat Nov 3 Swansea City A Sat Nov 10 Liverpool H Sat Nov 17 West Bromwich Albion A Sat Nov 24 Manchester City H Wed Nov 28 Fulham H Sat Dec 1 West Ham United A Sat Dec 8 Sunderland A Sat Dec 15 Southampton H [to be rearranged due to our participation in Club World Cup] Sat Dec 22 Aston Villa H Wed Dec 26 Norwich City A Sat Dec 29 Everton A Tue Jan 1 Queens Park Rangers H Sat Jan 12 Stoke City A Sat Jan 19 Arsenal H Tue Jan 29 Reading A Sat Feb 2 Newcastle United A Sat Feb 9 Wigan Athletic H Sat Feb 23 Manchester City A Sat Mar 2 West Bromwich Albion H Sat Mar 9 Fulham A Sat Mar 16 West Ham United H Sat Mar 30 Southampton A Sat Apr 6 Sunderland H Sat Apr 13 Tottenham Hotspur H Sat Apr 20 Liverpool A Sat Apr 27 Swansea City H Sat May 4 Manchester United A Sun May 12 Aston Villa A Sun May 19 Everton H
No 5puds til October (boo!) but the CoE visit Arsenal away early. The champions come to the Bridge in November. No WLD over Xmas or Easter. Rangers on NYD instead. El plastico on September 22. Channel 5 derby December 8.
The fixtures are **** this year. Arsenal, West Ham and Spurs all away early and then all northern aways right near the end of the season. I had hoped for the reverse. Oh well
I think it's safe to say we have to hit the ground running this year. I can't recall a worse set of fixtures since 03/04
Glad someone agrees! I'll probably be home at Christmas and the only home game I'll be there for is Villa Happy we got QPR away out the way early on though.
Looks good. No hard groups of games.Would be really disappointed with out 5 wins to start. The 2 games we have to rearrange are both home 3pointers and home after all the CL group games.
Go onto the Chelsea website and onto the fixtures news thread.... then scroll down to the bottom and there they are!
We had the reverse last season... kind of... I don't really mind.. will be going to most, if not all of the away games next season.
I make it 4 London aways in a row if you take out WBA and Swansea And typically December is full of cold Northern aways
Anyone else think that Everton away on 29th December could be our toughest fixture? We always muck it up at Goodison Park and even more likely on a cold and wet afternoon/evening in Liverpool in December.
Cheers. Be great if we are in semis of CL when we play Spuds at home (unless we are in semi of FA cup).
I think the clubs get to see the fixture list and then are allowed to appeal to move one or two. Is this done before it gets published? I know once it is clubs still have the right to ask to move stuff around. Murdoch of course can do what he likes. If he wants a game 3am on a Thursday to be played in the Gobi desert and it is already the following Monday, the Premiership board lick his arse and build a time machine and the fans aren't invited unless they stay at home and subscribe.
Yes but WBA and Swansea are there so it's not 4 in a row. Come on mate, that's seriously grasping at straws.
I think it is all done and dusted before the fixtures are released so they won't be changed now (apart from tv moves and champions league dates etc.)
