The bookies have West Ham as slight favourites to win tonight @ 13/10 and Leicester @ 15/8...usually with the odds as tight as this I would mark it down as a draw on an accumulator bet. I think that it will be a draw, possibly 1-1, i'm just praying that Leicester score first to ease the nerves a bit!
The case for Leicester - 1. Leicester lost at home to Reading in their first home game. Since then however they have played at home to all the other top Six clubs and won them all ie 3-2 Southampton, 3-1 Birmingham, 2-0 Blackpool, 2-1 Cardiff.
2. Leicester have plenty of attacking threat with sound strikers in Nugent [16 goals] Beckford [14] and Gallacher [10] to choose from and with the pace on the left of Dyer as a supply line.
3. At home Leicester in 2012 are on an unbeaten 8 game run - DWWWWDWD.
The case for West Ham - 1. West Ham are an effective counter attacking side who have the best away record in this league. No surprise then that they have been more effective away [6 more away pts] than at home where they face packed defences.
2. They still have a slim chance of automatic promotion if relegated Coventry can win or draw at Southampton, the league’s best home side, next Saturday. While the Hammers must win both tonight and at home to Hull at the weekend.
3. Big Sam will want to ensure that the Hammers win their final two games to build momentum for their probable place in the play offs.
4. West Ham have played well in their last 4 games scoring 14 with Vaz Te proving to be a lively goalscoring striker with 5 goals in those four matches, and he now takes the Hammers’ penalties.
Conclusion - too tight to call!
